Heh, I had that problem with the latest ep as well - along with it killing media player classic constantly. I tried the four latest xvid binaries koepi offers (the 1.0 beta, nic's latest, previous dev/unstable, stable ^^) and none of them worked. T.T
Using ffdshow with it's libavcodec decoder did, though (ie. not set to play xvid using xvid). I'm surprised - last time I tried ffdshow it was full of bugs, was one of the few things I knew that could crash win2k every few releases, and was never up to date with playing back the latest xvid advancements. Actually seems functional nowadays, but maybe I just got lucky. ^^ |

Get the lastest one at: http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/ffdshow/ As a general note, everyone should use ffdshow, if you do use it, you don't have to worry about getting multiple versions of different codecs to play things. And you DON'T need to get the new version of XviD 1.0 to play things encoded with it (like Yami 10), having the old codec WITH ffdshow works just fine. |

As long as we have four posts on off topic playback matters anyway...make sure the ffdshow you get is the latest like rayearth said. In this case "ffdshow-20030523.exe" from his link. The "ffdshow.exe" on there, despite how you might think it would be the default thing you should pick up if you didn't know to check the dates, is an old version and doesn't work with yami 10 - no bleeding, but the farther from a keyframe the more corrupt blocks you get until the video is a mess (wonder if it's gmc or b-frames that's doing it in? or something else? ^^).
Similarly the latest plain "ffdshow" from the normal project files list on sourceforge doesn't work, you need to get the one under "ffdshow-alpha" which is listed under all the old, out of date, plain "ffdshow" files despite the files in each group being latest on top. You can tell this thing has a sordid history, eh? |

Yes, it was unwatchable.
Also, well the newest ffdshow file is from May, and I installed it after may, so that's not the problem. I'll have to try that other decoder thing that was mentioned. Last edited by quiet insanity; 2003-12-10 at 00:00. |

Really? the 1.0 beta works perfectly fine with me. It's ffdshow that doesn't work. Uhh, I wonder why the difference... |

What you saw in episode 12 is different to the game ending - Garu's "ending" never happened in the game. |
