PSP game, four different stories loosely related to Endymion.

The [Road to Endymion] was based on Kamijou and Index's story.

The side-stories basically are plot/reading material though. You can find summaries by Zaarael somewhere on this forum, though I don't remember well. They make well-enough reading. Hope that helps.

I liked most of [Road to Endymion] than movie actually, if the final was more elaborate would be perfect, at least that's how I feel.

$200 bucks up into space, thats a great deal, especially without any G-force gravitational pull. Heck it would hilarious if this project was Kamachi-sensei inspired.

Nah. The space elevator concept goes back to 1895 so if anything Kamachi got inspired. There was also a plan to build an elevator in Brazil some time ago.

Nice concept art.

Or kamachi gained the idea from them, because such a project needs years of planning

Not a chance. Space Elevators have been done at least a few times in LN series... and they've been subject to scientific speculation for a long time... and there are already a few real world companies trying to make them within the next fifty or so years... or much sooner.

For example, Accel World LN's have a space elevator in them. The only reason it's hard to do it well is that the science behind it is complicated and variable depending on which way they try to construct it.

At least Kamachi came up with a very clever version of how to construct a space elevator: this is only possible because AC is so technologically advanced.

Or maybe he read The Fountains of Paradise, the classic SciFi novel by Arthur C. Clarke that is known for popularizing the idea of the Space Elevator amongst the SciFi fandom.

Once it leaves the atmosphere there shouldn't be any gravity pulling it down.

But you still need to take into account the weight and the materials to sustain the weight from it falling.

and other problems, like the the "carbon nanotube"(cable) or the radiation (if we are going to use this with people) , asteroids/ space junk/ problem with the location (earth problem-cataclysms-politics)/safety concern-terrorist attacks/ our level of science/ the elevator music/ physics/...

... and money..

but if is true that we can harvest the space for minerals/diamonds ..then its possible

but like hell i am going to use one of those

and i am more interested in the "higgs boson" possibilities

wonder how fast it will go up and how long it would take before you hit weightlessness space.

excuse me, what?

the feeling of weightless is just a "sensation"

and here enter the concept of speed and free-fall (and orientation ) + gravity (and there is "gravity" in space)

if you are looking for a place with "o" gravity, you need create that "situation"(an theoretical situation)

and more if we talk about this "Space Elevator " height..
