Please tell me you're kidding. They actually bloody changed Takayuki Kondou and Eiji Takemoto? People, who has voiced Wright and Edgeworth since promo materials for the first game and in the Dual Destinies?
Yuuki Kaji as Wright? Tamaki as Edgeworth? F*ck you, A1. I'm usually tolerant towards cast change, but not this time. Cast already was perfect and this looks like a very bad joke.

Director looks good. I didn't watch Space Brothers, but heard a lot of good things about it.
Series composition: This guy was in charge of Blade & Soul. Not really a good thing.
Music: Not Noriyuki Iwadare.

Well since I never played the games in Japanese, the VA changes don't bother me at all. All I want is for this to be good. Space Brothers was insanely well done so that's a plus. Time to look up all of the people involved. I'm mega hyped for this. That animation looks quite nice. (Why is spring so far away...?) Series composition of Pokemon XY&Z (It's still too short, but that seems good.) Music is probably solid enough.

I don't really know how to feel about the VA's, but Kaji seems capable enough to handle Wright... I also really like Yuuki so I think she'll be just fine.

Either way, I think the voices can fit the super dramatic court room stuff that happens lol as well as the constant freaking out that happens.

This is probably not that high profile, but it's still a relatively nice surprise. I'm going to be excited for this and not seriously expect THAT much.

Huh...as far as the casting, I can't say I understand why they're changing the cast from the games/promo material, nor do I think the new VA's really fit their characters as well (though I think Aoi Yuuki as Maya could be good...). Kaji as Phoenix/Ryuichi is especially glaring, because I just can't see his voice matching the character well at all, and I say this as someone who actually likes him as a VA .

Also, with the announced cast, looks like we're getting an adaption of the first game .

The staff looks alright, but at least with A-1 as the studio there's a good chance the animation will generally be good, which is a positive .

Though Maya's eyes look weird in that promo picture ...

Depending on the episode count, though at this point I wouldn't be shocked f it's a split-cour, I could see them fitting it in, though it might also end up being an OVA .

Yeah, I'm really surprised they didn't just carry over the original cast... maybe they thought they needed more recognizable or younger seiyuu for this ?

Which is a shame since there was some great casting here. Especially Sayaka Ohara as Mia .

Well, now we also obviously can say farewell to Miyuki Sawashiro as Franziska and, if anime will have a second season, to Rikia Koyama as Godot.


And about episode count - it is two-cour. So 24-26 episodes.

Also game adaptations (excluding VNs) have a even more terrible record than light novels for me so I will pass.

Probably depends upon how involved Capcom USA gets with whoever licenses it. From a marketing standpoint, it is certainly in their best interest to stick with more recognizable names, in order to capitalize on that familiarity (especially if there is a plan to build synergy with—read: market—the games), but Westernized names have been dropped in the past.

That's regarding "official" subs, of course. Whether a given fansubber uses Phoenix Wright or Ryuuichi Naruhodo will probably depend entirely on their level of weeaboo.
