Keima sure is the "God of Conquest". Fevers can't keep his from playing the ladies just right. Too bad Chihiro had to escalate so quickly. Makes it harder for Keima!

This was why last week I kinda figured Ayumi for the host, and not the other way around or a dual-possession situation. Having said that, this week there were some moments that could indicate that I have the roles reversed. After all, Ayumi was the first girl, and seemed kind of familiar around him even at the start.

Either way, though, I'm totally on tenterhooks about where this is going, because at some point, Keima's going to find out which of them is hosting Mercurius, meaning two things:

1) One of them cares for him without the influence of a goddess, and without any memory of his clever conquering tactics, and
2) That's the one he has to reject, because he's not going to be able to sneak around on these two (especially now), and he needs the last goddess.

The only other possibility is that there's another goddess or a similar hosted spirit involved, and while I previously thought that this might be a neat twist, it would probably disappoint me a little now.

After thinking about it some more, I'm even more convinced that the goddess is in Ayumi. The reason for that? Chihiro confessed to Keima. After Keima's conquest with her, she would have forgotten all that happened. Hence, she would have been back to where she was before. However, if I remember correctly, she has always liked Keima, so her confession would be a natural progression of that.

If, on the other hand, Chihiro has a goddess in her, she would have remembered the conquest event and would have been more tentative around him, with more confusion. She would have been even more upset over the Kanon confession situation, and would not have confessed to him so easily. There was no lead up of conflict on her part, up to the confession. Hence, I believe that Ayumi is the one with the goddess.

I catch myself saying, "this scene is so much better animated!" at leas once an episode This time around it was when he shoved Ayumi into his bed. As if I needed reminders why Ayumi is such a great character, they had to go and bring this event back up. As always her reactions are the best. "Hot! Hot! Hot!"
