The first season of the anime has 12 episodes.


Can someone maybe give me a hint, how far the anime has gotten, compared to the novels?

Or are maybe simply events missing, that only appear in the novels?

Current anime just finished V3, with a lot of Manami being cut out and major change in V3 plot.

Actually most of Manami part were merged in episode 6. With only 1 particular event missing, other parts that got cut was Kanako's event (kirino's friend), a few Kuroneko/Saori/Kirino interacting (mostly simplified) and Kyosuke only events such as him playing eroge, got somewhat interested in cosplaers, using internet, etc.

There is one episode where Kirino accused his brother of looking at porn sites with her computer and immediately demands "life counseling" to make up for it. Did Kirino make the whole thing up just to ask for a favor?

Another episode is where the brother's childhood friend comes for a visit and finds a lot of those magazines at his bed (Kirino supposedly put it there). Does that mean the magazine was hers? Kirino actually owns ..... those magazines and demands her brother to read them?! eh?

How about Ayase. Does she really believe that the brother is a pervert? Even after messaging him via phone, naming him Mr. Lying Brother when she realized that he was trying to get her and Kirino back together?

Lastly, will there be a Season 2?!

Kirino certainly did not make up the fact that Kyousuke was looking at porn sites on her laptop. You can tell from Kyousuke's reaction. As for whether that's the cause of her wanting life counselling or the other way around, I'm not so sure. You can formulate something there.

All those magazines are Kyousuke's. Supposedly Kirino knew where they were and set up the trap while Kyousuke and Manami were downstairs. Beats me how she knew where they were, though.

As for Ayase, while the novels didn't bring up the issue as far as I remember, in her route in the PSP game she said that the whole "shocking confession" in the park really did mess up her impression of Kyousuke (despite her having a rather good opinion of him before that), and even though she knew that he did it to salvage her friendship with Kirino, Kyousuke began acting slightly perverted around her from that point on (mainly because he figured that Ayase's impression of him are pretty much irreparably broken) did not help matters at all.

As for whether there will be a season 2... you'd have to ask the studio for that.

Is it true that there will be OVAs being released in June and July 2011, this year???

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe June and July are just the DVD release dates for the true ending route that's being broadcasted online and not anything else.

Don't quote me on this but i believe that one comes out every month and it would make sense since there are 3 left and March, April, May would finish it up while June and July would DVD it.

I don't believe I can state directly as the site also has licensed material on it at times. but if you google on the series name and add "baka" it doesn't take any rocket science to find...

Different volumes are in different stages of translation so ymmv.

The novels aren't translated in full yet (in fact, the site that has translations of it only has the first volume, plus a small part of volume five). You can find summaries on the internet easily by googling though.

like what Vexx said, it's about search terms, googling "<title> light novel english translation", these search string is enough to bring up any sites with high enough ranking on Google's page rank onto the first page.

I'm a little confused about the order of things with this show. I'm pretty sure I watched 12 episodes, not 13. So am I missing something? Also, what does "TRUE ROUTE" mean? I must say I am confused!

OreImou episode 12 concluded in the original ending you watched, when Kirino decided to not go to America.

OreImou itself receives an alternate route (TRUE ROUTE which follows the Light Novel events) that continues the story with the fact that Kirino did choose to go to America. The episodes are distributed online only so you probably missed the info. In other words, you can treat the original episode 12 that you watched as forgettable and just continue with TRUE ROUTE.

Note: Episode 12 TRUE ROUTE majorly consists of repeating scenes you already watched in the other episode 12, however you should still watch it because there are crucial changes.

Thank you. There will be more episodes so yes, they will make more. Not sure what you mean with status, but it would seem things are much less turbulent without Kirino, and we will get to see more focus and development on Kuroneko and other characters.

I think it's safe to expect episode 14 at the end of this month and the final episode at the end of May.
