these wings seem very interesting, is it simply added onto the existing wing frame backback or is there some kind of heavy modification needed?

X207: the dull finish is the Tamiya 'Flat Clear' spray, although i recommend the Mr Hobby Flat Topcoat (flat and matt are the same thing)

People tend to lean towards Gunze Sangyo (Mr. _____) for everything except possibly acrylic paints, since they seem to have stopped producing them, lol.

In terms of quality, they don't seem to be different. The only "different" type of topcoat would be Testors from my experience since it chips a lot easier.

thanks, i merely need it to dull the finish on the paint. the enamel is thick enough to avoid chipping even though i just put the minimum amount of paint to sufficiently cover the pieces.

edit: i got a #49 dull humbrol varnish to dull the finish of the paint. i asked the guy at the hobby shop for spray cans but there wasnt any gunze sangyo. all there was tamiya flat clear but he said it would conflict with the enamel ie frosting. im currently testing it on a paint sample but it should work. i found some empty paint jars but they only had individual plastic or glass jars. it seems hobby shops have stopped stocking empty bottles o.O.

Okay, since we're on the topic of painting, would you guys mind giving me a few beginner tips?
I've built a bunch of models but I haven't really painted any yet. I use Gundam Markers here and there, but can you guys give me some pointers on how to actually paint, and what to use?

It's just a reminder message, i got a couple of those while i still ordered at hlj. you get those when you order an item that's really hard to get and takes a lot of time.

don't worry about it

thanks, i wasnt worried that much anyway BC they never mentioned missing shipping or payment details aside from a unknown shipping charge. my SD lunamaria zaku arrived less than an hour ago. aside from painting details the only open parts are the 2 outer sections for the buster rifle that require filling. surprisingly the hands require no filling as they're completly molded to include the details.

Its a resin conversion kit. You get a regular 00 Gundam and then put resin pieces over them.
You need to paint the added pieces though.

It costs a pretty penny too.
I meant as in normal NG/HG 1/100 kit. I'm not a fan of the resin kits cuz they're expensive and you have to paint them and such. ^ - ^

Really depends on how you want to paint. If you want to spray with cans, there are methods. If you want to hand paint, there are methods. If you want to spray with an airbrush, its another methods.
No basic tips, really.

i beleive thats the prototype of the reborns gundam, my best guess is that those are cannons on the back.

That is the Reborns Gundam's prototype.

From what I've read, the Reborns Gundam was actually formed from two different prototypes, being a normal Gundam-esque suit and a Guncannon-esque suit.

That one is the Gundam prototype. Don't know whats on its back though. Looks kinda like GN Sword IIIs.

Maybe they are GN Condensers and/or boosters, akin to the leg-mounted ones which the GNZ units are sometimes shown to use?

Im leaning toward boosters too but it doesn't beat the new Avalanche Exia with extended leg parts

Spoiler for If you think there wasn't enough equipment on the Avalanche Exia BEFORE:
