I got confused at the end..
When rena got shot..
Did rena die ?? and what was up with all the bags at the end

I'll be honest, I did enjoy the movie, but I think it was just because I'm a complete Higurashi fangirl. Here are some of my pet peeves I was able to pick out:

- The acting (especially on K1-kun's part) wasn't great. At all. I found myself almost cringing at certain parts because of the acting.
- Putting the acting aside, the only cast member I truly had a gripe with was Rena. I hoped they would choose a cuter girl to play her. It caught me a bit off guard to be honest, but I got used to it after a while.
- "USO DA"... oh, God. I really disliked the way they did that scene, but the phone booth scene made up for it. ^_^

I was actually really impressed with how they made Dr. Irie and Jirou Tomitake (though many disagree) seem at least a little similar to the way they looked in the series. I could definitely see some resemblance.
... And I really enjoyed the random scene where Keiichi and Mion went fishing together after school. xD LOL
It was random but adorable. <3

Did anyone buy Limited Edition of the movie? It suppose to come with movie script, which would make it easier to sub

Was there any DVD release that had an english subtitle option, I was going to buy limited back in the day but it said none?!

Biggest pro to the movie was a lot more Mion, she got a lot more spotlight. The Teppei meeting Satoko was a great touch as well. Ooishi also plays a larger role, taking over where other characters should have been, so no shion, akane ect... The flashbacks were very good, I like Keiichi's Breakdown. Not sure if the dinner suppose to be Angel Mort or just some ecchi one, don't remember, but waitress was well straight off of kill bill lol This movie blows the 1st one out of the water, but still could done a lot better and should have handle scenes more like the manga then how they actually did that scene, same goes with Rika versus Rena. Why did they replace Rena's van with "that" thing , I could have lend them the money to get one lol. The ending for this movie was alright, and I like what they added after. Skullchukka Letter from lost days ~ Join Date: Aug 2008 Location: Netherlands / Turkey Age: 35	A question for those who played VN / watched anime Spoiler for higurashi: I don't have any Higurashi installed-anime raws at my pc so I cannot check it now, did Irie Sensei actually say to Keiichi that "he should call him If he experiences any sudden changes in his situation, because he is new to enviroment"? And there's a dramatic zoom to his notes, where it says L3. Or was this done in favor of the movie?
