Maybe one of those calm before the storm chapters. Not bad since it focuses on Chikage.

Miu and Kenichi also got a little closer now. I think there's virtually no chance for other girls who can separate them... (unfortunately?)

Well... technically the elder didn't go back on his word. Kenichi never really beat the elder, only MYSTERIOUS TEENAGER GARYUU X, and even then he needed Miu's help.

... watch as Garyuu X enrolls in Kenichi's high school to keep an eye on him.

Yes he did, and if I recall Kenichi did ask Miu on a date during the Diego arc. Remember that Kenichi was afraid that Takada would tell his feeling for Miu so he bought her a present and took her to a fast-food place to give it to her. To bad it was during the time Diego sent Rachel to challenge Kenichi and a master to a tag match. Renka went in his stead, and both Kenichi and Miu ended up following the father/daughter duo before Kenichi had a chance to give Miu the present. I also recall that the present was destroyed during the fights on the ship.

only questionable thing with that is, why would he have apachai be one of them?

would make more sense to have the guy that isn't insanely wounded be a guard

edit: shigure is being a bit confusing, some panals she looks angry that kenichi is making love progress and in others it looks like she is happy

Pushing or hiding? For all we know the elder could have just been eavesdropping and is planning to stop them indirectly.

Saturn Beaver Home of Silent Prayer Join Date: Mar 2010	Spoiler for ch 424: Nothing really happened this chapter, but it's pretty nice nonetheless. It's Chikage in the spotlight, nice to see how she really is right now and the sweet dilemma is cute. But apart from that it's also good to see how the rest of the group are doing when they're not fighting, seeing the spread of them playing basketball really brought a smile to my face. It's also great to see where Chikage and Rachel stands right now as Yomi members, as well as Renka and Izumi the botanical girl. Too bad girls, looks like you're firmly in the friend zone right now. Speaking of which, Kenichi and Miu is unofficially dating now, right? It seems so obvious already, they only do it secretly because the Elder is keeping a very short leash on them. Awesome, this means the developments in the previous chapter is not forgotten. __________________

Spoiler for Chapter 425: Really enjoyed how life goes back to "normal" at the dojo. I enjoyed the Elder's way of motivating Kenichi into practicing harder and how he is assigning the masters to watch over Kenichi and Miu when they are together. What really interested me was Shigure comment on how if Kenichi and Miu pretend that they (Apachi and Shigure) are not there, they could witness something good happen. It finally looks like this upcomming arc is going to deal with Miu's orgins.
