Actually, given that Milhi is royalty, this does make sense. Marriage for royalty tends to be planned out years in advance.

Hmm, doubtful. The Nanoha series had several reasons to do a timeskip, but Dog Days doesn't have nearly as many. Not to mention that Dog Days enjoys staying in the "casual plot" area (where, to be perfectly honest, it is at its best. Dog Days does not seem to handle serious plot climax all that well).

They also said in the second season that they will be back during the fall vacation. So it's gonna be just few months timeskip like before.

Ehh, "planning out" doesn't mean "marry immediately." It just means that the proposal, engagements etc. will be handled earlier.

I mean, in addition to Couvert's questions to Cinque, when Couvert jokingly said she'd propose to Rebecca if she was a boy, Milhi (who only caught the "propose" part) responded with a surprised, but calm acceptance rather than complete shock. That shows that, on a cultural level, this is accepted in Flonyard.

It'll only skip to the Fall break. This series won't work, in its manner, when he's really interested in romance. It loses innocence of the characters, really. So they can tease it without it being serious for Cinq.

I'm expecting another group to pop up and/or some bigger story. There is a full Kingdom that Leo-sama is a Knight of. So there's some "King" somewhere. Lots of room for story there.

Though more of Slice of Flonyard wouldn't be bad.

I kind of expect the series for Winter 2013, mostly as a Fall announcement probably would have popped up already.
