Is this supposed to be a played straight siscon story or a subverted one, because i can't tell.
Are there seriously little sisters that wouldn't mind watching a porno with their older brother? I really don't like whoever is voicing the main guy. He sounds like a pathetic ass. Sounds familiar too... The second episode might be make or break for me. I can appreciate the twist and irony of the little sister having a siscon complex but I'm hating everything else.

Good first episode, I knew there was no way they would keep a lot of the more suggestive stuff from the manga, which is a good thing, opens it up to more people. And from the title of the next episode it seems they're speeding right along in the story, should be interesting.

I'm really trying to hold myself from blabbering about the light novel when I looks at all the Kirino hates. It's Linebarrel case all again.
For once, I'm glad to see people go and spoil themselves by reading the novel.

Aaah, I actually really liked Nakamura Yuuichi's role as Okazaki. For some reason I just don't like this voice that he's doing for this guy. Just sounds rather weird.

I read the description on Wikipedia and I knew it would be awesome, I just didn't know it would be this awesome. A little strange her brother is so accepting. If I had a sister who never spoke to me I'd laugh at her for all that stuff and continually make fun of her... but I'm just a sick bastard. Still, I'm surprised she didn't blackmail Kyousuke or something.
Also, the music is awesome.

But even tho I do try to make her life hell whenever possible, I do get along with her very well, she knows I do it for the sake and fun of it. I'm surprised that Kyousuke didn't make a bigger deal of it all but then he is kinda carefree to a degree. Kinda reminds me of me

Seems to me he's the kind of guy who likes to avoid trouble. So after he discovers her secret, the first thing he does is the "throw it away for me" thing so that she can have it back while he can just ignore it and pretend not to know. At that point it seems he'd rather just forget about her so he can go back to his Normal life. Most of what he says afterwards could be attributed to wanting to go back to sleep.
So while he's certainly being rather nice to her, a lot of what he does could also be attributed to laziness. Teasing her would require a lot more effort and would drag him into a position that he's not quite comfortable being in. |

If this really is an attempt to mock the half-erotic depiction of sibling relationship in modern anime, then I approve of that. The notion that incest is expected destroys the natural family bonds which are precious. Young people need to be allowed the natural familiarity of siblings without fear that it may be seen as erotic.
I am honestly not sure where this anime stands in that regard. It seems to poke fun at the whole sibling worship thing, but there is an awkwardness between the two main characters that does not feel like the families I know. It looks more like what an only child would imagine about having a sister (or brother). |

Well, there's clearly an awkwardness between them because they're not comfortable with each other in the way you'd expect from siblings. She ignores him, he feels overshadowed by her accomplishments, and overall it seems that they just never talk to each other and pretty much only see each other at dinner time. Ideally, the comfortable sibling bond will be the result of the story arc. Of course, it's still very possible for the series to veer in the wrong direction.

For one Kirino made an excellent point about distinguish reality from fantasy, as some posters already mentioned. I can understand that it is extremely unlikely to be attracted to people you have to suffer daily, but still I don't get it why people now-a-days in western cultures freak out with incest, pedophilia, homosexuality etc. I mean in the rest of the world as well as Europe's past they were not that uncommon, and certainly not subject to hysteric lynching.
