So those three got rescued by the fuzzy black one eyed ball.
Those monks are really bad news.. Genpachi seems to be doing just fine now. I'm glad he's finally free. His story was very interesting. Those monks just don't quit, but looks like they got what they deserved.

Omitted Genpachi line from the manga:
"Men are even better. They can't have kids with other men" Oh wow, Genpachi. You sure swung the other way real fast. 5-6 years? Too bad for you Shino doesn't age but it's okay, just become a shotacon. A shota is fine too! Sometimes even better! Okay, jokes aside I'm still kinda ambivalent on this, but it looks to be more a matter of the source than the adaptation itself. Still it's a decent watch and full of eye-candy, so it's a keeper. The character interactions are quite cute though, particularly when it involves Hamaji or Shino. Next week the white haired kid from the OP! New shota character!? 8D *looks carefully* Oh, it's a girl... |

Shino really is a special kid in every way.
His stubbornness can sometimes even be funny. At least this time we got some new info about other guys too. Shino meets sweet Ayane and dangerous Chikage. So Hamaji got herself a friend to play with. The lantern festival was really nice. Looks like Shino found an unexpected friend in Hibiki/Chikage.

I really shouldn't watch this show after Ixion Saga, all that talk about lost balls... (at least this time Kamiya Hiroshi wasn't involved XD)
Anyway, oooh the plot seems to be thickening. I really like Kobungo and Genpachi so I hope they won't sit this story out just because they're not directly involved. It would be a pity. (Is it worth reading the manga for them?) |

You should read it regardless. The characters are really really sweet.
BTW, some parts on Genpachi got cut in this episode. So manga is really recommend. Though, the more serious plot is finally getting started. the notSousuke should be appearing in an episode or two. Last edited by shmaster; 2013-02-11 at 05:15. |

That stubborn Shino somehow always finds trouble.
The giant ape in the woods was kinda surreal. It was pretty helpful and peaceful though. Shino clinging to Sousuke was pretty LOL Investigation of the village was interesting.

Hmm, my problem is that the characters I like so far are side characters (the brothers, Hamaji and Foxy...). I expect the main focus to be on Shino and Sousuke, and to be honest I'm pretty "meh" about them so far. But if the charas I like are given a nice amount of spotlight I guess I'll give a chance to the manga.
