he has done more for the city with the little help he give than all powerful families..

well, it would span from chapter 20 to chapter 190, so i will only give a summary without giving too much spoiler and because it spam from chapter 20 to 190 i will also only tell the things that really gave a powerful blow to the sacred family.

to start i'm sorry about the names but there is just too much names for me to remember and some people only appear in one arc so it becomes a lot harder.

1 )he made them loose/lost 450 millions DC in the tournament in three rounds,
he started to play with them to make them bet high.
at the tournament NieLie is silver rank (don't remember the level)
the first round was NieLie against Shen Yue Brother (the one who Xiao Ning was forced to marry in the previous life), the bet was 50 million, he pretty much one shot him since he does not like him and the family.
the second round was NieLie against sacred family branch member number two (don't remember his name ), he is silver rank level 5, in this fight to trick the sacred family and everyone there , he keeps running the entire fight until the other guy lost all his energy and then Nie Lie win because other guy does not have any energy.(the bet was 100million)
and since NieLie Keeps runing the previous fight without attacking anyone, the guy in charge of sacred family (don't remember his name) thinks that Nie Lie is weak and and the only reason that they lost was because the SBM2( sacred family branchmember 2) was also a silver rank thus NieLie and him had the same speed.
So he bets 300 million and send SBM1 who is a golden rank level one and thus is faster than NieLie, they fought and because he was golden rank and NieLie was just silver rank the fight is a little long but in the end NieLie wins and thus the sacred family loses 450Millions.

2), Because the guy lost almost all cash money that the sacred family has, the Head of the family is forced to abandon his training and come back and since they don't have any money, he is forced to sell a few of their shop/items (don't remember exactly what he sold)

3) SF Head forces the guy who lost all their money to leave the family and kill NieLie together with their connection with the Black trade Union, but in the end they fail since they are thinking that NieLie is the only silver rank in the group but everyone is already one ( Xiao ning Du Zi- LuPiao etc,) and they are captured by them and tortured by the alchemist association by NieLie order until they confess the connection between the sacred family and dark trade Union.

4) this is just too much spoiler, so i will just say that they tried to kill Yu Zong (Yu Zi's father and the current governator)

these are the main points who let to the sacred family demise, but in between them there is a lot of minor ones, like public humiliation etc.

Just saying the girls' names are Zi Yun (the girl Nie Li likes) and Ning Er (the girl who likes Nie Li)and also the city lord's family (Zi Yun's family) surname is Ye, not Yu. Chinese names are surname+name, not name+surname

well, is just to hard to remember all the names, i know that Yu, Xiao, Shen, Chen, is the surname but thanks anyway. if everyone understand what i'm saying it really does not matter if we say Yu Zi or Xiao Ning, or that we use Surname+name, but since you talked about it i'm will tell you why i use surname +name--> the novel always say surname+name it is more clear in my memory and easy to remember that way.

well if i was to go by the rules when translation from Chinese/Korean to English it is is recommended to join the name. it would be NingEr and ZiYun.

well, i believe that the two ways are correct but since we already have a family called Chen that is also one of the big 3 family's it would be best to use Shen for the sacred family since is also correct and it will also avoid misunderstanding when talking about them.

Whoa, finally an AS thread on a series I like (screw Xiu Luo Wu Shen)! Time to combat some of the MTL-generated misconceptions.

"Chen" vs "Shen": The character in question, 沈, can be pronounced as both "chen" and "shen". It is the simplified form of the character 沉 (read "chen"), but is simultaneously ALSO the simplified form of the character 瀋 (read "shen"), which is a last name. Typically, when you're reading this character, in all normal vocabulary it is read as "chen", but since it's used as a surname here, it should be "shen".

I found the English translation of story and just couldn't stop, so I read ahead with Bing/Systran. As far as I can tell it's understandable with MTL, but of course I miss a lot of (small) details.

Essentially, in their world, there are a number of "supreme" beings (lit. divine spirits). Each primary world can have at most 36 of them, and each subordinate dimension can have one at most. They control the forces of nature and are essentially elemental lords, and are largely immortal, even when it comes to dying in combat. Each one represents and controls a different force of nature; the one that he meets, Yu Yan (lit. flame feather) is the elemental lord of fire. These forces that they wield are a step above the spiritual energy that more typical practitioners wield (and which he has used until now).

These divine elemental lords can come from different races, and of the original 36, 40% were human, 20% were demons, and the last 40% were an assortment of the remaining races. Because there can only be 36 at a time, hundreds of thousands of years ago, long before the Dark Age, there was a huge battle between the human and demon elemental lords during which the demons tried to exterminate all of humanity in order to seize control of more positions. As a result, humanity and the demons both suffered grievous losses. One casualty of this war was Yu Yan, who lost her body and, to a certain extent, her divinity, and has spent the countless millennia since trying to regrow it. At the time Nie Li meets her, she's about a third recovered.

After the end of the war, one of the human elemental lords - the one who controls time - disappeared to enact some secret plan of his own, and she surmises that it's his machinations that have brought Nie Li to her. (There's a good chance her guess is correct, given his relationship with various figures who have some mastery of time.) She instructs him a little regarding the elements, with the hope that he might take over one of the positions that are currently open due to the death of their human lord during the war (the ones she mentions are chaos, light, and dark). She decides to try and start him off with light, expecting that it will take him many years to even sense the element - he tells her he has one month to learn it all (lol).

To her great surprise, but not to the readers, he not only grasps it immediately, but to an extent that matches the former Light elemental lord at the peak of his powers (he can't wield it to that extent, but he can sense it to that extent). Without any help from her, he then proceeds to master Darkness as well, which is something no other elemental lord has ever done (control more than one element).

It's then that we find out two things. One, that his path to Destiny-rank and above required his mastery of a power another step above these natural forces (thus two above the spiritual power other spiritists use). This is why it's so easy for him to master this power; it's weaker than something he had already mastered in his previous life. Secondly, that the forces of nature they wield are artificially created. During his experimentation with them, he discovers that they're powered by a divine script, and this is where he makes the offhand remark that the creator would have had to have been as powerful as he was in his past life.

Anyway, he stays in her hideyspot for a while, takes advantage of the elemental energy to rapidly jump to 5* gold-rank, and then takes off, bringing her with him. (There's quite a bit more relevant to Yu Yan in particular, I can talk about that as well, if you'd like.)

Once you hit Destiny-rank, you can no longer die of natural causes, but you can still be killed by someone else. The elemental lords are a little more special than that, though the precise mechanics are still unclear. What we know is that some of those that were a casualty of the war are in Yu Yan's position, where her divinity was broken and scattered, but still exists. From that state, they can still recover, although judging by her case, it basically takes an eternity to do so, and she's basically just a ghost, unable to intervene in the physical world, in the meantime. We are additionally told, however, that there are some - like the Chaos, Light, and Darkness lords - who are dead dead. What the difference is is not clearly explained.

As for what precisely he was capable of in his past life, he has, as of yet, made no mention whatsoever. All the knowledge we've seen him display to this point has been things that he learned from within the Space-Time Demon Codex (rough translation), which he tells us was the beginning of his journey to supremacy. I think the issue is that there's no frame of reference for a being of his former stature in his current world, let alone the story up until this point. There may be one exception, but that person's origins and history are one of the mysteries that he himself is pursuing.

As an example, the demon that was the origin of the Dark Age was a single Destiny-rank (the author intimated that it's a "new" elemental lord). For context, for most of the story until now, Ye Mo, a Legend-ranked spiritist, has been the highest "power" of the setting. The demon that began the Dark Age, by contrast, killed thousands of Legend-ranked spiritists at once, and that was likely just its birth as an elemental lord. There are relative ranks between the elemental lords depending on the power of the element they control, and yet Nie Li judges that at their peak, they're still fairly limited power-wise as far as Destiny-ranks go. That gives you some sense of just how out-of-scope his past self was compared to where we are in the story right now, let alone the level his future self will inevitably attain.

Holy shit, the last chapter i read was 196, when he meet the flame spirit, but it seems the author has given a good info dump in the next few chapter, i need to caught up fast,

Now, about the names i was wrong about the new girl (in the village), but to be fair, chinese is a too difficult language to learn too, one or two errors may be possible.

if you think about it, my main language is portuguese, i'm trying chinese and english, so it is already too much difficulty to match those names.

well, now about the time spirit i believe you may be right and the girl too since, a few chapters back NieLie mentioned that something was growing in his Soul, something like a tree, it may be the Time Spirit planted some type of seed inside him to make him grow in the next time lord or something like that.

maybe that meant being immortal due to having greater vitality or higher level than majority of the living beings . . . . but can still die when faced equal or greater level than said person . . .

something along the lines of : grinding levels to reach the level cap and then returning to the beginner area .. that practically makes you immortal but then comes the expansion pack that introduces higher level cap and monsters above yours . .

The "supreme" existences of their world, all Destiny-ranks, are those who have mastered the use of that system, never realizing it's an artificial system. We're told at several times that he was extremely faithful to her throughout the remainder of his past life, which lasted a long time. Furthermore, guilt plays a real role in it. I got the gist of what was happening, but could you explain in details what the girl exactly is and about this new ?laws? where he got light and darkness. It seems to be a complete new way of strength, understanding of the laws and not just a higher number of soul force.

But you said Destiny Rankers are immortal and he not only surpass them he also became as strong as their system's creator. Wasn't he an immortal at that time? Also if i understand correctly from what you wrote when he reached Destiny Rank there was already 36 rankers in his world so he is forced out(by heaven?) from his world to another right? Also -Destiny Rankers are immortal -This system created artifically by a very strong being -He was as strong as that being in his past life So can we say that he can create similar systems that could give people massive strength&immortality? Lastly if it's explained can you explain immortality system and Power Scales of ranks(like Legend-Continent Destroyer Scale...) of this novel? A lot of questions Thanks in advance
