(L) Tears to Tiara (TV anime)

When I saw all the praise for the animation in this episode, I thought "I bet I know what happened here..." and sure enough... Do you guys remember Utawarerumono episode 14? The one where everyone said at the time "what the heck happened to the animation?!" And it was pointed out it had a special guest animation director, one Naoto Hosoda. And guess who the episode director was for this episode 14, that everyone's praising for having good animation... (The fact they even gave him the same episode by number is sort of impressive in a way... ^^; )

Octavia was blocked. Llyr was able to poke through the hard armor after she did some hocus pocus on her trident.

Arthur went for the heart, but apparently the big guy had thick skin.

In other news: I'm still waiting for them to put in some new songs. It's a new season, dammit!

According to a CD Japan listing, there's a new ED coming called "Weeping Alone" by Aira Yuuki, the same person who did the current ED. I heard a rumor that it was debuting next week (ep. 15).

Where's the damn OST anyway, it's already listed as in stock on amazon JP yet none seems to have it in person.

Well now that's interesting, the epi numbers I do remember Uta 14 vaguely but I remember the posts about the animation just like everyone is doing here.

I have it "in person" (received the CD last Friday), and it's really great! It has 26 tracks (25 BGM + the TV-size ED). Some of my favourites are Tracks 2 and 25, but I'm just listening again now to see what my other favourites are. I think it's definitely one of my favourite OSTs in recent years, and can wait 'till the second half is released!

That interesting i wonder if it just happened to turn out that way or was it planned. Seems much to on point for it to just have happened randomly.

Finally watched epi 14 subbed and besides the facial expression, I really liked the dialog in this epi.

Rathy: Please give them to me! With these, I can make so many fabulous pot-
Arawn: What did you say?
Rathy: No wait...I can make so many fabulous weapons...
Arawn: I see. Then I leave them to you.
Rathy: Yes, Arawn-sama.

Arawn's delivery of those lines was hilarious. Also the only thing I could think of when the orge crashed in was "They have a cave troll."

Despite that the ogre battle was reminiscent of the cave troll battle from LotR, still it was very well done!

Ah... The animation went back to normal...

It was a decently entertaining episode. Shocked at how Arawn was stabbed fatally near the end (Eh... Protagonist death?!), but was kind of disappointed that it turned out he managed to stay alive but seems to be unable to fight anymore (So says the soldier that reported to Gaius).

Wonder if the zombies in the episode will play a bigger role later on... Or are the zombies just introduced this episode to force the events to happen...?

Ah, so that's what they said at the end. The raw I watched was so bad, it sounded as though everyone was gargling while they were talking underwater.

The only dialogue I didn't have trouble making out was Arthur's insane yelling bit. (Probably because he kept repeating the same thing over and over again.)
