Just a little update I have Katautsuchi-hen and Hitakakushi-hen done and a chapter of Meakashi-hen done

It will just take me some time to upload them because I'm going to India and won't be back until the new year

I was just wondering if the Utsutsukowashi-hen raws for chapters 4 and ahead are out. Just to know if its worth it to got out and start raw hunting

From what I know Utsutsukowashi raws only go up to chapter 3... which is a shame.

Though I'll always think about it whenever I look at "Midsummer's Demon"

The premise of the arc itself isn't bad at all, having a look at Shion's school life can actually work if done well, though I kinda suspect where the story is going. At the least, I see it some leaps above your average doujin, so that's a plus. That and you can't never have enough raws with potentially good story to practice your Japanese.

Tell ya the truth I thought it was written by him

I'm fairly certain for Utsutsukowashi hen it credits the story to the artist, and Ryukishi07 with supervision only.

Reading the Japanese wikipedia entry for Higurashi, it would seem that Ryukishi07 is credited as the original author for all 3 manga original chapters, however, for Onisarashi-hen and Utsutsukowashi-hen, the sakuga is 鬼頭えん(Kitouen), while for Yoigoshi-hen it is みもり (Mimori). Moreover, Kitouen is also credited for the story composition of Utsutsukowashi-hen, leading me to think that Ryukishi07 sets the general layout for the story and Kitouen has the freedom on how to develop it, akin to an aprentice system I'd guess.

Sorry for the noob question, but, which arcs are Katautsuchi-hen and Hitakakushi-hen? Never heard of them as extra manga arcs... New doujins maybe?
