We can say Beatrice in Ep II-I is Kanon and Shannon's imagination friend, and the Beatrice who appeared in Ep II-II is an acquaintance who also is a performing magician that can switch the candy she have with Maria's crushed one. But then there's no realistic answer for candy-golden butterfly as far as science go...... @MarthX: thank for the recommend *sigh...one more week for next ep....*

The question is, what is Battler searching for? The culprit from the incidents he was involved of course. Whatever Beatrice showed him right now does not explain what happened. It might give him some insights into other areas that he didn't have chance to witness (as he was playing card most of the first day), but by NO means it is what happened to him back in the first world.
Then I thought, Battler could not lose. All he needs to do is to grab the evidences from the several worlds to come up with a compelling case that human culprit is possible to win the game. No matter what Beatrice throws at him he can simply refute the events that happened simply because the involvements from a piece that wasn't in the original world. When an additional factor was put into the argument, the crime scene is no longer preserved. Now the question remains being if magic IS possible IN THE ORIGINAL WORLD, to what extent can it influence the world and does it require a vector to do the deeds. lol, I remember back when EP2 came out a year or two ago, people on a message board kept on bombarding with questions as why why R07 would kill off the mystery by having the witch appear on the island. It's just R07 trying to mess with our head, and making us soften our stand. (coming from a non-VN player) Correct me if my attitude is wrong at this point of time.

agreed, the real mindfuck has yet to come. Right now you have plenty of possibilities to explain who committed the murders and how. As long as you can imagine a human way for such crimes to happen you can still see how Battler can "win" this game. The fact that magic exists in some dimension or place on earth doesn't really matter for the purpose of this game.
But here comes the problem, how is Beatrice going to thoroughly debunk any of Battler's theories to explain how things happened without the help of magic? The epic battle of twisted logic is beginning, kihihihihi!

Is anyone dissatisfied with the BGMs? I believe the "Answer" was played during this episode, or was it episode 6? But it never had the same impact it generated in the VN. Same with the other BGMs... they either need to just use the originals from the game or turn the damn volume up a bit, the BGMs are way to quiet to give a proper atmosphere to the anime.
