Against Utah, the 4th game, which was the key game, was also won because of the opponent's and at the time, the court's most important player's illness. Let's see if they will have the same luck, this time, against Lebron, especially if the league decides to protect Lebron against Spurs, like they did for Spurs against the Suns...
The league did not "protect" the Spurs. If you think the league is out to fix the playoffs and decide matchups themselves, you shoot yourself in the foot thinking they would protect the Spurs of all teams. If the NBA were really being sneaky, the Finals would be Kobe vs Lebron, or Kobe vs Shaq, or Suns vs Lebron. The league was halfway to creating that Suns vs Lebron until Amare Stoudemire decided to forget the rules.

The Spurs are ratings kryptonite for the NBA. No way would Stern legitimately fix games to get them in the Finals.

Tonight's game was the worse, most boring display of basketball by two teams I have ever witnessed in my young life...

Man that game was disappointing. Cavs lost again. Wonder if this series would go 4-0

I think so.....

On that note, it is time to talk about the NBA Draft
(for the love of God, the Atlanta Hawks NEED to draft a Point Guard please)

Well as everyone expected the finals were pretty much decided by the winner of the Phx/SA series.

Cavs just never stood a chance, although I think they might still get one game.

Hold on, I'm trying to look up a good put down for someone who bitches about the Spurs being boring all the time, but curiously talks about them a lot and apparently watches the games too.

Anyway I think it would be an absolute travesty if Bruce Bowen didn't get Finals MVP. Duncan will probably get it anyway because he is the franchise player, but if Bowen holds Lebron under 37% shooting and doesn't win MVP...it would be a joke.

^Hey I don't have cable so I'll put on paint-drying if it's in Primetime...Not like I'm glued to the set but I'll watch because I'm a BIG sportsfan...

Anyways...Tony Parker will obviously get the MVP...Jesus what Finals are you watching? O.o

Bowen MVP? Are you $hiting me?? Bowen is playing his standard good D, but the Spurs TEAM DEFENSE is getting it done...Whenever Lebron beats or bodies Bowen 2 or 3 guys converge, he passes the ball and the Cavs sucky-a$$ role players can't hit one open friken jumper...

The Spurs are indeed a dynasty but it's sad history won't remember them like others' because of their lack of team personality and general less than enjoyable style of play...The numbers don't lie--Spurs last 3 Finals (Including this one) are the lowest rated championship rounds in the modern TV era...With that said I definatley respect them, but God it's a chore to get excited while watching them....

I'm happy for Micheal Finley cause I was always a fan of his...I loved what he said to Dan Patrick about putting the gameball between him and his wife^^...

As for the rest, The NBA is now competing with Mix Martial arts as the 4th biggest sport right now which is sad...

1) NFL (Unquestionably #1 By a HUGE margin)
2) Nascar (I don't watch it but the numbers don't lie *VRoooM, VRoooM*)
3) MLB (Used to suck, but it's finally back thanx to Yanks-Socks)
4) NBA (which is struggling now) -tie- MMA UFC K-1 (Fastest growing sport in America surplanting Boxing)
5)Boxing (Barely hanging in there)
6) NHL (Where's Gretzky when you need him?)
7)MLS-Soccor (Number 1 sport in the world, but not here in Beef country)

Cavs lost. Oh well, that was expectable, since the Spurs were clearly dominating the whole series. (It was funny how Damon Jones' last attempt 3 went in and it did not help at all)

I can see why Nascar is #2 lol, it's usually the crashes. I mean, I joked with my brothers that "That must be why alot of people watch Nascar, just to see the crashes"

Of course, that's something I don't like. Nascar shouldn't be watched because of the crashes >__<

And, congrats to the Spurs. Just as I planned, I so wanted this to become a "Win a championship every other year" sort of thing.

I'm so dissapointed. The Cavs are like my favorite team and to see them lose like this. I'm still thrilled that they made it the finals though.

Bowen doesn't get any credit for what he does other than the media giving him the customary pat on the back for every game and calling him "one of the best defenders in the league" and shit. Bowen has been screwed out of defensive player of the year voting for the last 3 years because his defense stats don't show up on a box score. It seems the media voters just look at box scores and see who had the most blocks and give that guy DPOY. It's worthless. Bowen deserves a lot of credit for his role in making Lebron a non factor in the Finals.

I don't have a problem with Parker winning it, though. IMO he deserved it. Great to see him finally not choke in the playoffs. I remember Popovich going with Barry and Ginobili at PG when Parker was out in the last finals because he was choking again.

The best part of this title run is that Finley finally won a ring and contributed a hell of a lot in the first three rounds...mostly all on Mark Cuban's dime. Nice.

If the Spurs wins titles in the next 5 years, the NBA will run out of business.
