I think Bandai said something to the effect that they wouldn't let who ever buys the rights to their show edit it (or at least, edit the hell out of it). But can't be sure 'til the series airs in Nov though. :\

They probably cut bits of a episode because of insufficient airtime(I've heard Sci Fi channel did that to Doctor Who, because there was not enough time). This'll maybe happen to Gundam too (Never seen Gurren, so don't know what the runtime for each ep is).

Both are episodes are half an hour, back to back.

Not sure about DVD release, but on Sci-Fi it should start Monday at 11p.m. since Gurren Lagann is finished. I just hope it's two episodes a week. AS has already screwed over their anime line-up due to low ratings (how else would you explain airing on a weekend).

SciFi will start airing 00 on Monday, November 24th. It was supposed to be this coming Monday, but according to both my media center guide, and the SciFi website guide, it won't air until the 24th, a week from Monday. It will be 2 episodes a week, airing at 11pm.
