Hello guys, i was reading this novel up to vol 5 when i see the scene of

Spoiler for Orihime:

Orihime confessing to Haru after seeing his arms turning into a shiny vamp-erm dragon

so as an Asya fan i want to know if her relationship actually gets better with Haru to the point where you can see the "main heroine" setting or this is just going full Orihime on the last 3 volumes, my heart got crushed so hard at vol 5 that i just don't want to keep reading this just get more dissapointed.

Asya does indeed get her own relationship upgrade later on, though there also other girls. It's hard to say without spoilers, but Asya is indeed one of the main heroines, though you'll have to get used to her sharing the bill with Orihime.

Hazumi is the main heroine, not Asya, Orihime, Luna or Yukikaze.

Basically Asya gets her own dragonslaying rune.

And well, I consider Orihime and Asya the main heroines due to screen time: considering the author's other works, if the series went on for long I would have added everyone else too, but with only 8 volumes I can't shake the impression of Asya and Orihime being on another level, even if Luna and Hazumi are close.

Mmmm imo is kind of hard to call any other girl "main heroine" when they appear so sporadically in comparison to Orihime, i mean Orihime is being showed 60-90% of the time "on screen" and the other 40-10% she is not Haru is remebering something about her while Asya and the other girls have to share their time with Orihime AND between themselves making them have just some moments from to time to time.

If i have to give places by time on screen /best moments i would say that Orihime is the main girl with Hazumi and Luna being tied in second place and really close to Orihime and Asya being the comic relief/fight support character kind of girl(this of course is my opinion so far until end of chapter 5)so yeah i actually feel like for being a "main girl" Asya is just way too much on the side of the story to the point where Taketsuki-sensei have to include her in the afterwords so he can kill two birds with one stone (giving her some time on screen and filling his afterword with nonsense ).

I'm just going to say, keep reading. I personally didn't like Asya that much, so I can tell she most certainly was the one with most screen-time after Orihime; in the later volumes she gets to do a lot more stuff.

Volume 8 is fully translated, and thus another series has come to its end.

Spoiler:

The final battle literally getting resolved by a kiss wasn't what I was expecting. On the other hand, it was foreshadowed neatly by the promise made before.

Hannibal - sorry, John Smith Haruga - didn't get to become a politician, but he did get to become a CEO.

The ending may not have resolved everything, but it leaves plenty of room for a sequel series. There seems to be a good chance of one, given that Campione did get a sequel.

Romance-wise, the ending is about as unconventional as it can be. I don't think I've ever seen a series that defied "the tsundere wins" as much as this one did.
