So according to crunchyroll news, it will aired in Italy on August 29th.
Screenshots Preview New "Lupin III" Anime (Spoiler Warning)

So I can wait for October to watch it with Japanese dubbing and English subtitles, or, if such possibility appears, watch it earlier with Italian dubbing and English subtitles. It's may be interesting.

It is amazing how immortal this remarkable character Lupin has been. Who would have guessed he and his story would have such longevity and shelf life...but he just keeps on going. I didn't think much of Fujiko's series, so i am hopeful for a return as others have said, to a return to more of the "classic" feel. it has such punch. Here's hoping.

They could use the classic theme or Sexy Adventure from part III.

So, in an interesting turn of events, the first 4 episodes aired with Japanese audio on Italia 1 as a secondary audio channel on the SD Channel. To my knowledge, this wasn't advertised.

By the way, shouldn't this be moved to the Current Series section? The show has already began airing in Italy (and Japanese to boot as a secondary audio option).

The mods discussed this. We decided to wait until the show has its Japanese run before moving it to Current.

Good idea. I suspect a lot of people will wait for the Japanese run which (please!) will not have that terrible Italian opening noise but have a better opening song instead!
I wonder if it'll get licensed by Crunchy or Funi or anyone?

I tried Italian dubs, after all action is set in Italy and San Marino, but I switched to Japanese audio pretty quickly. Good, that both are included.

Probably unlikely FUNimation will get this series. Apparently the Fujiko didn't sell as well as they had hoped and ultimately passed on the follow up OVA, Jigen's Gravestone, which was dubbed by TMS and will be released by Discotek in the future. However, having said that, I would imagine TMS will stream the series, probably on Crunchyroll.

Really, that Japanese OP just completely blows that ear-wrenching Italian OP out of the water.

Chase section looked a bit ropey maybe (although it's stylised enough it's probably meant to), but I was at first thinking "Where's the Fiat?" until its appearance...

Wait, what
Ishikawa Sayuri as in the enka singer!?
Hot damn that's a HUUUUGE name. Arguably one of the biggest name in Japanese music stage for like the last half a century.
Heck, I don't even remember Sayuri ever doing an anime theme.
Can't wait to hear it!

Oh and that OP is amazing.

Here it is.

The music is composed by Ono Yuji and the lyrics written by Tsunku♂.
This is sooooo Showa ! !
Can't wait until they come out with the full version.
This is like Suntory's CM song also sung by Ishikawa.

Finally got around watching this and it was fabulous.

The music, OP song (Japanese version), and the characters...
I like that Rebecca girl already as she is very hard to read because of her role so far and personality. Fujiko was also a nice sight to see as well. Action and comedy were fun to watch and overall, I feel like this show is really on track with the classic tone of the Lupin franchise.

Loving it so far.

OH WOW.
Does that woman AGE?
Her voice is as lovely as when I first heard her sing some three decades ago.

My favorite is Amagi Goe. Yeah yeah I know, major hits, mainstream, I'm not a very unexpected person.

EDIT: Found the ED, although it'll probably be taken down again

It's wonderful!
