I thought more people would be talking about this because it's a (relatively) minor seiyuu appearing on a nationally aired show which is watcehd by many....

They can't ignore the fact that Haruhi's just that popular, I suppose. #5 on Oricon... I wonder if it was arranged last minute?

Big Shot have really outdone themselves... I guess they must be high-fiving each other...

...and I'm too scared to watch that clip, I have stupid prejudice that predicts it is going to be embarassing or sucky x_x

EDIT: Okay, I skipped the song (though the bit I watched was not bad!) and watched the part after that, it's kind of hilarious - her normal voice is so high-pitched and cutesy it's unbeliveable (I wonder if a lot of Japanese women speak like that?) She sounds like *Mikuru*! She seemed like she was playacting a bit much, though. Still, kind of cute how she switched to Haruhi-voice for a short moment, and she also gave nicknames to the hosts Masmotine-taisa?!

And why were there so many females in the crowd o_O I guess that was just the shot they showed.

edit: ah, it's been talked about in other threads....

I think she's acting that voice I don't have it readily with me because I'm in class, but the making-of one of the Suzumiya Haruhi commercials omake on the first DVD has her voice in a much more moderated tone.

Quick EDIT: I think it's this one

Aya was just voice-acting in that "Hey Hey Hey! Music Champ" segment, that's why the two hosts of the show were going "ooooo" when she started speaking in that high pitched, cutesy voice. You can see she's speaking normally in this DVDCM as well as this interview on TVK (Aya is the one wearing dark jacket on the right).

I hate that, she sounds stupid. There's actually no video or interview where she speaks normally. That's just a way seiyuus found to sell themselves and get fans. This is not woman or even girly voice, this is... anime voice. Problem is, in real, it's quite annoying...

That was the part I found amazing. Of course voice actors have to be able to switch voices like that, but such a dramatic, instant switch - wow. It's like she became a different person for that moment; quite something.

character single CDs out!

IMHO, they're not as good as say, the "God Knows..." single but they're still pretty enjoyable nonetheless.

Does anyone know the name of the theme played during Nagato vs Asakura and when Nagato enchants the bat in the baseball match?

Wow, Minori/Yuki's single is great! Its outstanding compared to Haruhi and Mikuru's.

Yuki, Muon, Madobe Nite connected to me just seconds into the intro.

SELECT? is pretty nice too.

does anyone know what the piano song is at the end of ep 14 during the closing credits for a.f.k. + the link to the sections of the novels they've translated so far?

But isn't that the nature of acting? It's a masquerade really.
I'm hoping that she brings her mature voice with her in her next interview though

And to clarify, will they be releasing the OST in parts relative to the number of DVD volumes they produce?

Undeniably true. Listening to Mitsukete Happy Life the first time made me lol , especially the ending when Mikuru sighed. Yuko Gotou ftw!

There's a song in Yuki's Album (I can't read the title, its all in boxes -_-) thats so good. I think it has Yuki's voice narrating at the background while she is singing the song in the foreground.
