I was able to get a second valid code today, so I dedicate this one to my fellow Sayakaholics Triple_R and spirits having flown. Post #840 in the saimoe 2ch thread is for you guys.

Spoiler for complete with ASCII Art:

It's just another drop in the sea of votes today and might not mean much, but what's important to me is getting those feelings across.

If we shouldn't make the speculations a big topic, we should stop predicting who will win a match. It is offending to supporters of characters you are predicting to lose.

Beside I presented weak argument. OverFunk presented strong argument against mine. I accepted that strong argument. Aren't we all better by knowing the stronger argument?

I wasn't planning on continuing Saimoe this year since Ruri, my last remaining top 5 was eliminated, but with the spikes (potential fakes) going Madoka's way, it got me thinking, does Sayaka have an ace up her sleeve? Now I have to wait until the results to see if Sayaka can pull off the ultimate betrayal.

Not much of a race unless Madoka has 50% fake votes and Sayaka none

Looks like she did have close to 50% fake votes. I would imagine that one character still holds the record for highest fake votes % (she would get like close to 90% or something crazy every year). Today going with Ika, the last hope for those who don't like Madoka domination.

That does appear to be the case.

Disappointing totals, and I would have expected Madoka to do better than that against Sayaka.

Here's hoping Mami does better.

The fake votes nearly cost Madoka this morning. A win is a win, though.

Pick: Ika-chan
Prediction: Mami

My fav non-Puella Magi vs my fav Puella Magi. Good luck to both.

At least Sayaka's lost is ultimately a very respectable one, and that's good to see.

Also, part of me can't help but wonder if Madoka's massive lead (with fake votes included) may have demoralized some Sayaka supporters to the point that they didn't vote for her.

Finally, I'm not surprised by the low vote totals.

I think that there's about 400 to 500 PMMM faction votes. I also think that Sayaka has 100 or more additional votes just for herself. I don't think Madoka is getting any support outside of PMMM faction voters, but she had at least 3/4s of them against Sayaka, and that made the difference.

I have little doubt that Sayaka would have defeated a non-PMMM opponent, but unfortunately, the quarterfinals draw put her up against the worst possible opponent for her: Madoka. Just a bad match-up for Sayaka.

Still, I'll now be cheering for Madoka the rest of the way. So sad that we can't get a Kyouko/Sayaka final now though...

You fought well, Sayaka, it's now time to rest from your never ending struggle. Making it as far as the Quarterfinals was already a huge victory for me and for her, the perpetual PM underdog.
I choose to go down with my ship (return to the sidelines) with her loss. *salutes*

Spoiler for the goddess has come to take her away:

And so, I'm back to being a regular observer. It's kind of nice that my number 1 was the last to fall from my team. The main draw has been rather kind to me, with almost all of my favorites getting into different groups.

Spoiler for Signature Seven groups:

To end this saga of hers, I copy from my post on the Sayaka thread a highly modified quote from a certain anime I made about her:

That were a lot of fake votes for a match between two characters from the same series I think that was unnecessarily. My wild guess, but the fake votes might have come from the anti-Madoka faction since having too much fake votes can potentially harm the character herself. I hope this trend won't carry on for Mami.
For today match, I'd give Mami the upper hand but Squid girl is just equally strong. And now that it had come down to her as the most viable non-Madoka contestant, I think she will have even more support than normal. Good luck to the girls!
