They shifted a bunch of plots to fill up the rest of the episodes, and they didn't work too hard on making sure those plots flow well.

How is Dwrc even there? He was killed in the beginning in the pc version- it's been a while since I watched episode 1 but he died there too right? (Or did he escape? lol...? Whats the point of that. The PS3 retelling of the story seems slightly odd at times even though it holds to the core plot pretty well. Probably having to cut all the ero forced them to extend and switch some scenes around. Like the scarf moment.)

Ahem, unrelated~ but I have a request. I think I recall xizro345 or someone saying they pre-ordered the gaiden. Would it be possible to send me a PM summarizing the plot after you finish it? Such as status of the wives list, who dies, why characters are being revived, if Primula and Pywll are in fact brought back, if they ever explain properly what happened to Primula after Arawn dies and Pywll rules~ etc. Maybe even post it here if the anime has ended by then.

Arawn killed Dwrc in episode 2. So how is he back? I assume he was revived using the cauldron that Rathty and Llyr found. That cauldron has the ability to revive the dead as the girls explained. If you notice Dwrc's eyes in ep 23, they weren't normal human eyes. In my opinion, that's a sign that he was revived.

The game isn't out yet (release date is September, 17, next week), but seeing the latest commercial for it made me think of a possible explanation. But I'm not getting into it until the anime has finished airing, for now.
And yes, Dwrc was revived that way, with the Cauldron.

I agree with LLK on that. Dwrc must have been revived with that cauldron. And his eyes didn't seem normal at all, not like in episode 1&2.

So, was the mayor at the coliseum the real deal or another undead or some other construct? He didn't seem to have the glowing eye syndrome but at the same time I'm finding it hard to believe that a lowly mortal like him was allowed to work with the archenemy of this anime.

I think the mayor is still alive. The anime has hinted that he's more than just a lowly mortal although the hints have been of the "if you blink, you'll miss them" kind. I don't remember exactly what episode it was, but the mayor has been shown to be a magic user of some sort. If I remember right, wasn't he the one who created the Gael zombie warriors earlier? If not them, then there was some other piece of magic that he did that caused problems for Our Heros.

It was the Mayor who summoned the Gaels Zombies before Gaius Armies invaded Avalon.

Arthur & Riannon gang up on Drwc who is unable to stop them with his magic. Morgan & Octavia continue fighting against the Golems while the Mayor watches the fight. Llyr & Rathy try to reach the Cauldron but a stop by the Golems that the Cauldron is producing. When Ogam & Arwan reaches the top of the Obelisk, they find out it's protected by a spell but the Obelisk starts to cast Gravitas which unfortunately helps the enemies.

Drwc manages to capture Arthur push his sister away when Drwc cast a spell that engulfs him. After Octavia & Morgan defeat the Golems, The Mayor who is shocked but later recovers when he finds out the Obelisk has activated, uses it's power to reanimated the Golems who are now stronger & faster. Llyr & Rathy are becoming more weaker as more Gravitas & Golems come. Riannon manages to get Drwc away from her brother but he summons a drill aiming at them prompting her to summon a magic shield, which Drwc laughs at & shoots the drill.... and hits Drwc himself! Turns out that wasn't a shield she cats but a teleportaion spell that send the drill behind Drwc back. As he's bleeding, he begs for more power which he gets when turns into something that looks like a Licker with it's resembling a Pen....Uhh lets just leave that & starts attacking them. Meanwhile, back at the top of Obelisk, realzing the spell protecting the Obelsik is a Holy spell that Arwan cannot touch, Ogam plans to sacrifice himself by turning into his dragon form to forcibly destroy the spell despite Arwan being against it.

As he turn into his dragon form, he remembers a past event with Pwyll, Arwan, Primula & himself. In the past, Arwan told Pwyll that they need a Magic Bible since it contains the most powerful spells except its written in Latin but the two are caught by surprise when Primula can speak Latin but they later laugh about it when they learn it was Ogam who taught her Latin to summon candy

lol. With knowledge that they have a Latin speaker with them, they both start to laugh knowing one of their problems against the 12 Angels are solved. As Ogam breaths fire at the Obelsik, Arwan & Arthur's swords starts to glow & resonate which helps the Heroes, the sheild protecting the Obeslik is gone & Ogam manages to easily destroy Obeslik easily. As the monster that was once Drwc now trys to run away from Dyrnwyn's new power, Arthur easily kills the monster. With the Graviats gone & strength rejuvenated, Llyr & Rathy manges to defate the Golems & destroy the Cauldron. With the cauldron & Obelisk destroyed, the Golems at the Arena starts to fall which shocks the Mayor but before he can do anything, he gets killed by being shot by an arrow from Morgan & sword swipe by Octavia.

The Heroes all reunited at garden with White Flowers when they notice someone sitting in a gazebo. Arthur investigates only to find the person sitting is already dead & a corpse. Soon they meet the Man in White from the previous epsiodes who tells him that corpse was once the Emperor while he laughs of what became of him.

Spoiler for spoiler?: Drwc and Creon were never in the tower in the game (PC), so to put them there, it wouldn't make sense no matter who activated the teleport.

Love how it's looks the good guys are winning until they get beat back by the bad guys who get stronger & just when looks like the bad guys were winning the good guys get a moral boost power up to beat the bad guys. Spoiler for Next epiosde: Arthur & Arwan fight against the White Angel guy, The Tower starts raining down lighting at the Gaels outside & A new monster appears. See you next week! __________________

One thing that bothered me was the white screen that lasted several seconds after the coliseum guy was cut down... Censoring? In the first place, just what changed when he changed outfits...? Really nice to see movement during the fights rather than posed slashes sliding across the screen, etc. The fights scenes here aren't going to win any Best All-Time type of awards, but in today's hyper budget conscious animations, they were a refreshing change of pace. The return of the many faces of Arawn was welcome as well. By my count, he went through three different "wha??" faces in the flashback when Primula started spouting Latin. xizro345 King's Justice Join Date: Apr 2004	Comparison time! Spoiler for PS3 - anime for episode 24: Ok finally I can spill the beans. Remember people complained that Lydia's death in the game was terrible compared to the anime, when I wrote it? Well, I omitted the fact that instead of Cleon, there's Lydia when Morgan and Octavia reach the pseudo-coliseum. She welcomes Octavia "to Hell" and starts fighting. Once she's defeated we have a death scene pretty much similar to the one in the anime, with the same concepts and the whole "friends" thing. Dwrc doesn't have any "power up" and after Riannon breaks free of his true name spell she and Arthur simply beat him to a pulp. There's no part about the swords resonating, the crystal is destroyed simply by continous efforts of Arawn and Ogam (who doesn't change into his dragon form). Rest is pretty similar. The only curiosity I can offer more is that you'd see the Emperor corpse earlier in the game (but not in a way people could understand that) as the white guy kept addressing to him. The flashback with Ogam, Arawn and Pwyll was present but much much longer (a bit boring I'd say).
