xxxHOLiC Kei (Second Season)

woooohoooo! Oh joy! It's actually a few series that I have kept in my hard drive. I'm a sucker for any series that is episodic in nature, but when those shows have a good story going on along with the episodic trademark, boy.. I'm in haven. Very much looking forward to this. Thanks for starting the thread, Shiroth.

It's just that some of the Tsubasa connections in xxxHOliC (such as Watanuki's relation to Syaoran) seems like they'll be important in the future, and to write them off may ruin the story in the anime. I've gotta say, i enjoy the xxxholic anime without the TC parts. First of i enjoy xxxholic a hell of a lot more, so finally giving in the chance to stand on its own, without the other part appearing now and then makes me truly happy to see.

I class xxxholic as my favourite CLAMP piece of work. Within the series are stories that i'd never quite imagine seeing (like the lady in the park story <3). They've have moved me to tears more then once, and a main character like Watanuki, who brings such stories to life. It works perfectly as a manga, though with the anime, you have added S.E.N.S. music, which i love so much.

I also prefer Holic w/o the refs to TRC in it and I also enjoy Holic more as well too, I think the story is deeper (plus Im not a huge romance fan, though I have enjoyed the TRC manga of late...)
I dont mind the crossovers in Holic to TRC but I want them to focus on Watanuki since really its all about him XD. There's enough in the manga right now for them to do a 2nd season and leave the TRC refs out, atleast in my opinion.

I don't believe anything has mean officially announced, though ANN have it listed that second season shall start airing in April. I seriously hope that this news is true.

Also like i expected, the wonderful S.E.N.S shall return for the musical score. I can't wait more then anything to hear new material from them.

Yeah, i really hope the news about April is true. Also nothing yet has been said about the episode count for the second season. Going by manga material (and if they plan more anime original stories), they could easily go for the same episode count as the first season.

babelfish gave me 5 random words: Year, spring, broadcast, start and schedule.

So my best guess would be: Scheduled to start broadcasting in the spring of (year) 2008.

I am very excited for this. xxxholic was really great, I know a lot of people were put off by the odd character designs but I found them quite charming...as well as the great stories each episode provided.

Unfortunately, xxxHolic w/o TRC connections won't be the same xxxHolic manga I love, cause you can't go to the main story, which is Watanuki's Identity. It's highly linked.

So what's to say that they deviate slightly and still get to Watanuki's identity? Since they took out the links, anything is possible imo. Links were prob taken out to make distributing abroad easier after all.

well, if they want, they can show the first ep. about the fateful meeting between Watanuki with Syoaran's gang then they can continue it whit the connection now on
