I was highly entertained by the surprise SD opening. With the skirt drop, too. Heh.

Sure Negima seems to have dropped all pretense of a plot and character development in favor of random fun, but it's not so bad in its own right...

Next.. we'll be previewing the Lord of the Rings Mark 2 ... as performed by the Muppet Theatre Group.

(yeah, it'd be funny but lets speculate on our feelings if we got that instead of the PJ films after having being led to believe something more serious was in mind ....)

Episode 19 gets a 10 for me, absolutely classic material.

Negima!? is a show that makes me laugh in the way Shinbo wants you to, and i felt that through out the whole of this episode. Great to see Motsu having more screentime also, playing the father role ---- haha, brush.

I especially loved the amount of eyecatch's. Each one was a nice treat.

I hate those stupid suka. This episode reaches a whole new level of "fail" for me.

This show does seem to generate quite polarized responses to it.
Even within these groups:
Love Shinbo - Hate Negima
Love Shinbo - Love Negima
Hate Shinbo - Hate Negima
Hate Shinbo - Love Negima,

even within each of those groups, I've gotten radically different opinions on this show.

((I fall into the Love Shinbo Love Negima ..... but on the side that thinks he just royally screwed this puppy up after the first few episodes. There are moments of beauty throughout the series ... but the overall package just makes me want to delete the file and go back to the manga))

This was the single most random episode of the series. Nekane acting like an airhead was odd, and the Suka class was bizarre. I've never been a fan of the Suka forms, Cosplay and Armor are much better for what they provide. Though as the series progresses, I find my favorite characters being the ones I thought I'd like the least.

Shimichi and Motsu. I don't know how or why it came about, but they're my favorites. Especially Motsu (in a good way.) When he wandered into Sukayaka and Suka-Makie's house, his reactions were priceless. "But this is...soil." Really too bad Sukayaka couldn't tell Makie she failed at being a Suka version of herself.
