the ending song > opening song... seriously.. that ending song is really good
I guess Co Shu Nie would be another artist that I'll follow... and no spoiler in the opening and ending song... hahaha... anime-only watcher would enjoy this soooo much! |

Wait, it's a Noitamina show and it's out on Wednesday?
WAIT! It's a Noitamina show and it's been freed from Amazon Jail! WOOHOO! Also on several services, as Hidive have it as well as Crunchyroll, but I'll be watching it on Crunchy as that way I can read the subtitles clearly. (Hidive's subs tend to get lost in the background far too often). But what about the show? Well I enjoyed that, it seems done pretty well. One of the new ones I'd been looking forward to the most. |

You know I never cared much for the art style in the manga, but the anime so far seem to make it work. Good first episode, I'm curious to see how they're going to handle the adaptation.Yeah Noitamina coming out on a Wednesday is confusing me for a bit.

I thought the introduction episode was a bit long, but the direction for the plot twist was really good and gave me as much chills as when I read that part in the manga. So the pacing is actually on point after considering how they did the build up for the House and how the kids are together in that hell hole.
It also helps the sound director used those creepy SFX properly without overdoing it. The only thing I'm not exactly convinced about was the opening. I like uverworld in general, but when they announced them for the OP, I was a bit skeptical and it really doesn't fit the mood of the series. On the flipside the ED is really good.

I wonder if that's related to the fact that, as a Jump show, it's basically meant to be mainly an ad for the manga. Considering that Jump also just has launched its international manga app, and that the translated volumes are coming out, it's possible they just aim at reaching the largest audience possible.
