Males who don't like BL (like Random Wanderer) find the stuff nauseating, but to me (who isn't a BL fan but don't mind seeing), I find the Hastur X Mahiro pairing loveable, but I prefer to see them as friends rather than lovers. In other words, Nyaruko continues to play as Kuuko's rival when it comes to their relationship with Mahiro.

You know when Hastur told Mahiro he did CPR, I wasn't believing him. I thought he just kissed an unconscious Mahiro. But he's too shy to admit doing that, so he said he did CPR on him instead.

Mahiro just literally signed a contract with the devil and is doomed to eternal......partnership, with the King in Yellow.

You know, in a way, this anime is staying true to the purpose of the original mythos: taking your sanity away.

Also, maybe the numerous parodies is a way to simulate the "lower sanity, higher mythos knowledge" aspect.....

Yeah. If Mahiro thinks he wouldn't be resurrected 25 million years later in order to keep that promise, he is sadly mistaken.

Granted, chances are by then Nyaruko would have claimed Mahiro already. So The King in Yellow is really only there just in case Mahiro ended up alone. If Mahiro end up romantically with a Cosmic Horror, he should expect an eternal bond that would last beyond his death.

After all Mahiro "considers" the feelings of the others all the time, but he clearly refused them all yet. So what Hasuta is waiting for right now, will turn out to be Chuck Testa.

Mahiro has a tendency to raise a flag with those deities. Firstly Nyaruko before he even met her, and now Hasuta on their first meeting. Poor lad's sanity points should have disappeared.

Also, Hasuta was naïve enough to believe Mahiro's words. 25 million years is the very definition of enduring love.

Indeed, let me though take it a step further, as long as viewers don't suffer from a deep-seated phobia about their sexuality, they can enjoy both yaoi and yuri in comedy, and when a show maintains the gender roles without getting stuck to the physical attributes of each makes it even more exciting for some and confusing for others
