Played the first game, and while it certainly wasn't bad, it was only mediocre and still a good way from being good - simply too many flaws, especially towards the end. But thi is not the right place to talk about it.
Very poor choice to pick this game to make an anime. However, are you sure it's about the game? The (rather poorly made) CG doesn't look even remotely close like anything from the game.

This is connected to the game, no doubt about it. The style, the Blight enemies, everything is the same. What is done better here are definitely character's faces. Yeah, you can chew me up, I don't really care, but my opinion is formed, that elf is what an elf should look like. A beautiful creature not a mediocre human-hybrid or in case of DA2, an alien.
High jumps are common in Japanese anime/movies so get used to it.

I think I said it in the da thread before that I don't really like this toon shading style, would have preferred photo realistic, but oh well.. The animation looks really wicked and fluid, tho. I'll reserve any comments on the story till after I watch it. Also, Gackt did the theme song!! YAY!

Just saw this thing. The animation and art style is pretty unique and it works nicely. Always pleasant to watch a well drawn CG battle. But I gotta say the story, characters and setting are pretty damn shallow. It doesn't draw as much as it could from the Dragon Age lore, although there isn't even that much to draw upon and once again I beg the question...why does this anime even exist?
