i think since they kinda changed the character of keita in the anime (he should be a lot older based from the manga), the anime keita seemed really weak and a bit childish...he's more of a brother-like to kuro in the manga since he's way more mature...

oh well, i do like this anime before, but yeah, i am kinda disappointed about the ending...they should have explained more about the happenings and should have developed the relationship between akane and keita more in the anime so the audience would not be that shocked about the ending...

but the fighting scenes are good and i really like the charactere of kuro...

Anyone know if the ending for the manga ended differently. Basically I want to know it would be worth it to read the manga instead of going thru the same material again.

Errr, the manga hasn't ended yet, and I don't see an ending anytime soon either.

I kind of wish that they wouldn't have shown the last episode. They should have left the ending of the episode before the retelling as the true ending. That way you could decide what happens next instead of....

Showing that Keita never got to see kuro again and showing that he dies after living a normal life. By doing this you know that they can never add onto the story.

The anime wasn't too bad....great to watch to kill time on a saturday.

But I do believe this was the first anime that I watched that showed a girl get her ass beat down (mostly by males) in almost ever episode. I was appalled and entertain at the same time

But out off all the contractee, Keita was the most useless :

"I will send you more of my Tera", as he watches Kuro get her ass beat badly.

"Oh wait I forgot about my thousand that I only shoot once(typical) for ever battle".

Atleast that excel chick had a very useful shield.

got the anime over the weekend. I watched the first 4 episodes and deleted it. the guy (Keita) is too whiny and I can't take watching him any longer.

The most unlogical thing that happens in this series is that

Mototsumitamas are fighting each other instead of going straight for the contractor. Sure you have to make sure your own contractor doesnt get hit meanwhile but most fights give the impression that they completely forget about the contractor. Keita does it a few times (eg against the beast armor guy) but he is the only one I remember.

All I can say is that...

it's an amazing series with a sad end. unfortunately it couldn't be helped. Any other end and either Kuro or Akane would end up becoming a third weel or candle holder or something like that. At least Keita lived as Kuro wished him to.
I'm glad that Kuro and Keita fulfilled their purpose stoping the doppleliner system however the price paid was a bit high. Kuro is free again though.

The epilogue gave me hope for a 2nd season... not really but since the manga is still around who knows.
The biggest surprise was Akane san.

I never thought she'd be Reishin's perfect contractee.
Kuro's secret was not that surprising because after she and Keita augmented their contract to the cyclic type I knew something, let's say, dark would eventually take place.

Was it just me or Kuro-san last fight reminded me of #Super Metroid on the #SNES
for some reason when she was fighting Motherbrain.
The whole glowing / rainbowy I was like #OMG I have to play that game!
Turning on #DSi hoping they will make #Super Metroid remastered for the handheld.
