I know it goes with the Hakuoh Space Yacht Club, but every time I hear that I think of Jenny. I guess that isn't a surprise since Jenny was a big part of the Yacht Club for the 1st half of this series.

Not to mention that this track has a very strong Celtic feel, with the violins, rhythm and melody, which reinforces Jenny's Irish-ness (particularly her gold four-leaf clover choker). And that prior to the club boarding Bentenmaru, every scene in which this song played had Jenny involved in some way or another.

I think that the Celtic music along with the subtle creaks and groans the Bentenmaru makes as she travels through space really drive home the feel of being on a sailing ship of old. I'm quite sure this is intentional.

BTW, after rereading I think I couldn't find Natalia Glennorth in the book. Looks like the bio file that I got from 2ch last February is wrong.
And in the book, there were no mentions of Ai and Yayoi full name :P

I have no idea what a statement like this says about me, but this episode is what I pictured the whole show was going to be like. The cosplay pirates were a whole lot of fun to watch, and seeing Marika stumbling once again with piracy created a good feeling, like the early days of the show. My favorite of the cosplay outfits was probably the full-on dinosaur costume. The others stood out, but that one stood out the most. The Marika/Chiaki scene also had some nice yuri tension to it, but that doesn't compare to what next week looks to entail. I've heard some things about Jenny and Lynn sparingly through this thread, but it looks like the latter is going to kidnap the former from a wedding... probably so she can marry her herself.

I like the direction this show has taken.

Dragging behind here and only just finished up ep 15 last night ... ah well. I continue to really enjoy the series.

Must admit that I lol'd quite a bit at the crew of the Bentenmaru frantically struggling to write up a "manual" as fast as they could.

I did notice that Marika is starting to voice her actions (or perhaps stage directions). Especially when there are planning to start up the ship. She even says "glance" and does a bunch of talking to herself like things in responce to people answering her questions negatively. It was funny, also with her head tilting.

The Princesses seem to be an odd team (Moon and Chibi). One usually smiling sweetily, the other with a daring look much of the time.

Man, Lynn sounded so cool at the end of the episode, with the music from the ending overlapping her declaration that she wanted to "kidnap" Jenny.

Appart from that cliffhanger there wasn't much that got me excited this episode,but I guess that was just practice for what's going to happen next.

However I wonder how the bentemaru crew is gonna react

Random question:are the girls all alone this time around?I know main deck members are in isolation but we havn't seen a trace of other random crew members we saw sometimes in earlier episodes.

Bentenmaru's current engines were taken from an Imperial Fleet battleship some 60 years ago. That's why Marika was hell-bent on finding crews that can operate Class I ship (FTL) and hold Imperial License. I think it's not unheard of that military will hold/use whatever latest technology before releasing it to the public. The next step of technology (still hold by the Imperial Fleet) should be 'demonstrated' in next week episode. Nothing spectacular, just logic. :P

Oh, I think the passengers were supposed to hold a masquerade party, with the Captain was wearing a skull mask. It is from the prologue connected to Chapter 4. And Rin wasn't supposed to be called by Marika, but instead she came to console with the Captain by herself, with no one else in the room.

...So in the latest novel we have an authorized/licensed Bounty Hunter by the Empire. Man they do like damn licenses
