Any anime characters you find attractive?

Well? Admit it.

I am quite fond of Mikuru, Haruhi, Yuki and Tsuruya from the 'Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya' series..

How about you?

I have not yet felt a pang of the heart when an anime girl falls for the lead male, so I guess I am on the same page. Though I think the OP isn't really planning on proposing to his television, so perhaps we are all being too nitpicky in defining "attractive."

There are dozens of my favorite anime girls I could list, but I don't really feel like it.

The appearance of a character and the character's depth is given 2 ways, sometimes 2 separate persons.

The Artist provides appearance but is most likelye based on the author's description. The Author provides the character and depth. The Artist and Author can also be one person. But a character will have both appearance and character when executed well. The depth of the character is decided by the Author and most of the time its not so deep because its for younger audience.

If you can judge the depth of a character by his appearance, the world would have been a better place.

Unless you're saying that drawn characters look too honest to their true characters, unlike real world humans who usually hide darker aspects behind that smiling visage.

Do picture perfect models look like they have depth? When posing for a fashion display, magazine?

Lelouch, is his character deep? Haruhi? Eva characters, who people can't decide what they were thinking even after a decade?

Well, admittedly, characters in live-action shows don't have any depth either. The only depth we'll ever find, is in people and objects in 'meatspace'.

@ solomon - I don't think the OP intended it that strongly, but likely in the same vein.

I'm not really sure this thread is warranted though, I'm pretty sure there have been a lot of very similar threads.

Yes I do. I do not obsess over any anime characters, I think that's silly and unecessary. That being said, I find some characters cute/adorable/etc and I have developed a few healthy crushes (as I have for celebrities, fictional book characters, etc). But I never let that turn into obsession. ^-^ Yeah, I'm a little bit crazy, but I am also totally harmless. I basically just have no life. x]
First and foremost, I only like characters who have strong personalities or that I can relate to at some level. I'll give you a few examples: Kiba from Wolf's Rain; L and Mello from Death Note, etc.

Yes I do. It's because I have a really strange... umm problem. You see, ever since I born, I never ever found any girl cute or attractive, mostly because when I see a face, I just see a face. I don't know if it's attractive or not, cute or not, I just don't know. It's just a face to me. Every face is like a fingerprint to me. However, with anime, everything is different.

I've never been attracted to one, but some I have been attached to even after I finished the anime they were in. Examples: Yuzuyu, Spike, Asou Renji & Chihiro, Shampoo, ect.

Which makes sense, it's called liking/empathizing with a character, rather than feeling a sense of attraction.

Hinagiku FTW...

If she wasn't attractive, then 2007 Animesuki Award fails.

Well, attractive? More like cute, handsome and nice personality...Not being greatly obsessive and in love cause they are still just drawn ^^

For me:

Yuuki Cross - Vampire knight
Kaname kuran - Vampire knight
Noe Isurugi - True tears
Kotomi Ichinose - Clannad
Nanaka Yatsushiro - Myself;Yourself

One boy and 4 girls and i know...im a girl, I just find anime girls more attractive then boys ^^

Fate Testarossa by far. Her attractiveness reaches optimum levels, though most MGLN characters are pretty attractive...

To name a few others:
Hinagiku
Rena from Higurashi.
Haruhi Suzumiya

...and the list goes on.

Those drawings mean they can't be attractive? Well not really targeting anyone of you, just bringing up as a question.

If drawings can't attract, why has Mona Lisa attracted the minds of billions over the centuries? She's suspected to be not a real person, experts cannot 100% pinpoint the original person Leonardo Da Vinci based on, and there's even speculation that she's a compound image based on himself as well. Meaning Mona Lisa wasn't a real person and didn't attract people only because she was real.

Unless a simple word like attraction has become complexed and hold multiple meanings besides 'taking a liking to', are drawings objects that do not deserve 'true' attraction, if I were to put it.

Well to me I like to draw and I draw any attractive lady that I like. But one that goes the furthest for attraction would be Haruhi-sama, her character means alot more than her looks to me.

Drawing can be attractive and really there is nothing wrong with being attracted in something that is not real. And to answer the topic the anime character that I am attracted to would be Ibis Douglas.
Spoiler:
