Either way, while his tendinitis seems to have been manageable this time around compared to WiiU/3DS release, he has the knack of being too perfectionist and no one can really replace him for certain tasks.

I'm still puzzled why some people even think he became spiteful when the level of details is even more ludicrous in this game than the previous ones. I'm actually relieved the trophies became stickers, because that would have been a crazy developpement hell with all the modelisation to do. If anything, the fact he complained about that and the "comic" break comment aren't that kind of stuff a Japanese worker would ever do. So it is quite telling this should be hist last smash game.

I'm fine with Pirahna's addition. I confess to being one of those people with their own personal wish list, but I don't fret when a character on my list isn't added or a rando character is added. Would've liked to see Naval Pirahna get added though, maybe as a boss for World of Light. I feel a better connection with it than with Petey.

The no-trophy thing is understandable, but it is unfortunate, because those were great to look at. But that is exactly why he isn't doing them. It's just way too much work.
Maybe in the next game, when there are less characters.

That said, I wish Nintendo will let him take the time to make another Kid Icarus game.

Personally I blame Sega for this and attribute it to Sonic's (especially modern Sonic's) fall from grace.

Had Sonic maintained its popularity like Street Fighter did, I think Shadow probably would have been an echo fighter.

The funny thing is that Sakurai's second tweet is "exclusive" to English community. He explained the roster is decided by Nintendo in Japanese, but he doesn't ask people to chill out with their "feedback". So it is quite telling how much he was pestered mostly by foreigners for the DLC chars compared to Japanese players.

Goku has as much of a 50/50 being one of the DLCs as anyone at this point, 50% no because it would break the VG origin characters only casting rule the game seems to have, and 50% yes because having Goku in would probably be used as another mascot thing for the upcoming Super movie not to mention the whole olympics thing in Japan with Goku being one of the animé mascots, so 2 birds 1 stone situation there. Personally the only hopefuls left I have are still Geno and Banjo since even though the former is a spirit, apparently it's not a deal breaker like being an assist trophy is. Outside of those 2, no clue who the other 3 could possibly be.

Honestly I would love goku, but I agree that the fact that he originally isn’t a video game character throws a wrench into things.
