It's hard to gauge precisely how it would go without seeing at least one episode. Dialogue eats up a lot of run time after all. Personally, option 2 would be my preferred choice from an aesthetics perspective. Hajime and Kaori have their chat. She promises to protect him. A shadowy figure watches maliciously from the distance when she leaves his room. Roll credits. (Incidentally, I tried an experiment by running all of the WN dialogue text from the prologue to the end of the midnight tea party through text to speech, and it clocked in at around 21 minutes.)

Yes, I feel quite foolish now for assuming that they would start the story at the beginning. Oh well, with my expectations already completely overturned I can look at the rest of the series objectively and see how else they surprise me.

When Lily moves to Earth she eventually becomes Sumire’s assistant for a time before debuting her own manga, a shoujo version of Arifureta with her as the main heroine. Later on it became an anime where she sung the theme.

Anyway, if I were to somehow predict Ep02's pacing (and so on)...

Ep02 would maybe have Hajime (during the dungeon exploration) and Kaori (while Shizuku is trying to ease her depression) expose a bit more of the primary premise, ending with Hajime finding Yue.

Ep03 would be more about Hajime & Yue advancing in the dungeon, getting to know each other, and Hajime rescuing Yue from the plant monster controlling her. A bit more of time with the other students would be very welcome, so they get some exposition.

Ep04 would be the end of the dungeon exploration, Hydra fight, meeting Oscar and a slight timeskip to them leaving the dungeon, giving direct way to Ep05 beginning Vol02 content. Maybe even a hint of their "first time"

Nah, I mean my spoiler which was true and not a prediction. So I can guarantee if they are mentioning "Ishtar, King" as I said above, it will come in ep 2 as memory bit at the very least. And most likely, for at least 1-2 minutes, as they will have to

In text script for Episode 2. You know, there are subtitles for anime on some platforms and that's what I am talking about. Still, no text for ep 2, but as in my group they already are asking me about Ishtar and King's name, I can assume there is some kinda intro for isekai world.
