a question about Noora from season 1.
Is it ever explained why she was able to travel through wolf and bandit infested areas without getting attacked? Was it just because she's lucky, and the church took that to look at her as kind of a witch?

She is quite skilled as a shepherd, plain and simple. It is explained in the second novel that shepherds are often associated with paganism and sorcery, and that female shepherds are extremely rare. Nora is not only a shepherdess, but a skilled one at that, which is all the more reason for the Church to be suspicious of her.

Plus its not profitable for bandits to attack a shepard, what do they get, a few sheep? Plus if the bandits mess with Nora, thoguh the church doesn't like her, she is watching the churches flock. And remember, not many people wanna fuck with the church. Especially small time bandits.

Noora is pretty..a couple of bandits wouldn't mind suddenly casting her into a h-doujin secenario.
also, are there any reoccuring characters? Does it go light novel style where each volume just featuers a new character, and that's pretty much it? Since Horo and Lawrence are always on the move.

At least in the first series I've noticed several german texts (i.e. a bill and a letter which was written in surprisingly correct german), but that could also mean Austria or parts of Switzerland and Northern Italy. |

Sometimes I get the feeling that japanese people forcefully try to confuse the use of R and L. Rowen instead of Lowen (Löwen) and Holo instead of Horo. *sigh* |

I try to keep in mind that many in the anime and manga industry probably were *not* the best at school. They were too busy drawing pictures and whatnot rather than paying attention in English class. Some may be older and simply aren't aware of modern romaji rules. And sometimes, they choose simply because the way-a-letter-looks is cool.

Um... it isn't that she "maintains" such a figure -- that's simply the way she incarnates as a humanoid. Besides, at that height she can snuggle up under his arm

There's a bit of inconsistency.... sometimes its just she's "standing closer to or farther from the camera".... but they do seem a bit loose with their model-referencing. At least her boobs aren't shape-shifting like some do in some of the more annoyingly drawn harem anime.
