Dunno about you, but Fred fell to the ground a little too easily for that kind of contact to get a penalty.
Also it was a shit save attempt by the Croatian goalkeeper there. Exactly what I just wrote. It was really harsh IMO. |

A somewhat meh opening game. First-half was more enjoyable than the first. Neymar did very well to convert a random chance into a great goal. Croatia never managed to really challenge the home team, though, not even in the second-half. So, yup, the far-better team won.
And yes, the penalty was a terrible decision. But, ah well, spotty refereeing is part of the game. |

Brazil won by playing with 12, Fred should be on the Olympics, that dive was worthy of at least a bronze medal, Neymar played on borrowed time, Ramires wins the ball on the last goal by cinically comitting a fault on Croatia's midfielder...
In other words, today Brazil wins on the score, Croatia wins on football merits. Why? He complied to FIFA's orders, for Brazil to win. |
