Martial Arts series

Hello everyone!!

I was wondering if there are any other series like Air Master and Grappler baki that are available? It just seems to me that series like the above mentioned aren't made that often and it's a real shame. Too bad niether Air Master nor Grappler baki will never get a region 1 release. They would be at the top of my collection.

Thanks for everyone's time **bows**

Legend of Condor Hero is as closer to a martial art anime as you can get...

Yawara! rules all it surveys. It features realistic judo, comedy, romance and a fashionable judo girl (the cute and lovely Inokuma Yawara).

I'm also going with Condor Hero. If you don't mind so-so animation, and are into romance, adventure and women who kick ass--then this could be the one for you. The art will not make your jaw drop, but I'd say in terms of art style, it's better than some of the stuff you see in fighting games or other martial arts anime. In fact, I like the art. I just wish there's a second season.

Shura no Toki - a new samurai anime (the main fights unarmed). It seems fun.

Phantom the Animation - (the Aikou & LS-A version). I actually had problems with the playback of the other version; sound was out of synch, which can be fixed, but nvm. The later release is a good one. The main is trained as an assassin for a syndicate. This training includes martial-arts , but not too much of it, so far.
It's head and shoulders above similar shows (Madlax), and several more popular shows this season.

FMA? I guess so--but if you ask me it's got more alchemy than martial arts. Oh, just like TDKNL said you might want to check out Shadow Skill. The series, that is. I love the world its set in. Plus, the stuff they say really gets the adrenaline going.

And if Ikkitousen is right up your alley, you might want to check out Tenjo Tenge as well. The problem is--it's already licensed.

Well i'm downloading Condor Hero at the moment because it definately looked interesting. I've only seen the OVAs for shadow skill which I thought were great.

I'm really still trying to figure out what the big fuss over naruto is. Don't know, plus, I can't download it till I clense my harddrive of some of this other stuff I have.

Also, as anyone heard if there will be a third season of grappler baki? I'm guessing that it will appear at some time, and who was the studio that produced that show. Maybe I can do some research.

Ryu Hiragoshi

P.s. I'm a big shonen fan so bring on the romance and story.

I also recommend Tenjou Tenge and Ikkitousen there funny as hell and freaking hilarious in a strange way. Flame of Recca and Naruto as well but I recommend you check out Tenjou Tenge first.

Sheesh, good fighting too, eh. Midori no Hibi, another new series.

You might find it fits the bill perfect.
