Azusa's match is disappointing. I was expecting a three-way free-for-all with vote counts that reach the 800's and not rape.

Azunyan Banzai!! \(^o^)/

Supporting Burning Arisa... Not sure what her chances are against Mio but whatever... I always wanted to support Arisa

Sorry Mikan but Feito is Feito.

Praying that the Nanoha combo gives Arisa a boost, although I kinda doubt it.

Saki and Working aren't exactly weak factions.

Today all the remaining girls FATE IS SEALED!

Yesterday clean pair of heels all round. Two in each group were out of rhythm and died twice.

Vote & Predict: Mio, Fate-chan

...

Yeah, I'll do it. I'll bet cardboard on this one.

As I said a while ago, guest characters in other series always fare poorly in the tournament. See Haruhi in Lucky Star as an example. Furthermore, Maikaze's anime didn't count, therefore Reimu & crew were never nominated in the first place.
Touhou's success depends on two things; when it comes out, and who is the focus. We don't even know when it's coming out, it may come out after the July cut-off line. Plus if the Animate Guy is the focus and the Touhou characters barely have any screen time, their strength will be weakened as well.

Just thought of this, but there are still two former runner-ups in it. Fate and Nagi.

Well seems like Azunyan won by a large margin. Yay Azunyan!. Too bad about Poplar. Ah well Yamada will carry the flag.

Momoko made a decent effort, but didn't even come close to Azusa. Fumino was alittle bit closer but she won with room to spare.

Fate should have the group H match with little trouble, but for once I want to see an upset from a favorite of mine. Can Mikan pull it off? We will see.
The group H match could affect Mio's match (maybe). Mio should be able to win this match, but Kobato could cause trouble, and a possible combo from Fate to Arisia could also happen. It doesn't help Mio that Azusa won her match.

Surprisingly low volume, with both Momo and Poplar getting fewer votes than in round 1. Despite the drama on English sites, the Japanese might have seen this as a foregone conclusion. Some of the voters that supported Momo over Ui must have turned to Azusa. If that's happening with an ace like Momo, we still haven't seen Azusa's full potential. Clearly Poplar is more poplar in the west than the east, for some reason.

Prediction: Azusa will spank everyone she faces, split vote or not, until she's stopped by the tournament winner Nadeko.

You're not considering how much Azusa's win benefits Mikoto. If Mio wins this match, Mikoto is going to be a favorite to win over Azusa and Mio.

So, pro-Railgun vote for Mio, pro-KON vote against Mio, and have I left any 'factions'? Or maybe people will just vote for whoever they like?

See Haruhi in Suzumiya Haruhi, for that matter, given how this year turned out.

Voting for my favorite, Natsume, in H2-1. I hardly expect her to win, but that match is a win-win-win situation, so I can afford to play it by feel.

Azusa has enough power to overcome the split. If I'm wrong, come back to quote me and laugh when it happens, but it won't.

As pro-nanoha (and semi pro-biribiri), I'll vote for Mio. I don't want K-on's backlash onto the main girls

It kind of sucks to see Poplar that far behind. Still, Azusa winning is a good thing for me. Fumino performed just as well as Azusa in vote counts. Looking ahead, I don't see myself voting for Fumino in the next round as Ruiko is there and, potentially, Fate.

Here are my votes for the last matches in Round 2:
Block G2-3
<<秋山澪@けいおん!!>> (Akiyama Mio @ K-ON!!)
Block H2-1
<<フェイト・テスタロッサ@魔法少女リリカルなのは THE MOVIE 1st>> (Fate Testarossa @ Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha The MOVIE 1st)

Not real big on Mio and many other are, but she definitely gets my vote for this match. Fate will always get my votes... well, not against certain girls. Still, she's real high on my list.

A cry of help to all who comes here and who also happens to have a blog. Please consider writing something, even a snippet about Saimoe, ISML, and/or Best Moe. It is one of good ways to make sure that wiki articles for Saimoe won't be deleted.

That's my point, they're not weak factions and all we get is a 190 vote smackdown instead of yesterday's 2-vote wins. It's like the Yui-Nadeko match in a way.

probably because it was a 3 way split with the anti-vote with no idea who to vote for.
