Just got caught up to volume 7 in English. Still liking the story quite a bit, and eagerly awaiting seeing it in anime form—particularly the Ishtar Arc ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°). Haven't had a problem reading spoilers, as knowing general plot points still doesn't detract from my enjoyment. Starting on volume 8 now.

I do have to say that the Yen Press translation seems to be getting worse. When they can't even settle on a translation for "Realis Phrase", that's not a good sign. And you'd think, given the setting of the series, that they'd have someone with enough knowledge of mythology (or ability at typing into a search bar) to recognize ヒッポリュテー as "Hippolyta" or "Hippolyte", rather than the horribly weebish "Hipporyute".

That's certainly the case so far (am about halfway through, near the end of the Welf bit). Still not fond of "Liaris Freese" as the name of Bell's skill, though...

My guess is they just had a shit editor for 7, as the story was still good and very easy to follow. Some of the phrasing was just off, and there were a few notably bad transliterations of non-Japanese words and names...

And they kept using "dived" rather than "dove", which I suppose isn't technically a mistake, but still bugged the hell out of me because I'm American...

Honestly my only big gripe with V7 was that last minute reveal about Haruhime, but I'm sure that has more to with Japan's "purity"culture than what the author actually wanted.

They'd hinted at it earlier in the book, but the whole thing could have been something they tacked on in later drafts for the reason you suggest.

Meh, she's a girl in love with the MC, for this type of show that normally counts. Especially since they keep hitting you in the head with how special her Bell-kun boner is compared to every previous one.

I've seen reviews and where people on several different forums complain about that being a cop-out. Honestly, I just thought it was supposed to be a joke and busted out laughing.

The meaning of Liaris Freese comes from hanakotoba, Japanese flower language.

Liaris is the liatris, which means 'burning passion'

Freese is the freesia, which means 'admiration' or 'adoration'

This matches the kanji used with Liaris Freese, , 憧憬一途, which means 'wholehearted longing'

actually, most of the book 12 synopsis are running exactly like our guesses from after reading book 11, all those were pretty much nailed by everyone, of course, the fun part, or the crux of book 12, which familia and what mission?

while a lot of people were hoping for the Loki familia, especially teaming up with Lefiya to add her into Bell’s harem, (and Bell’s party desperately need a caster.) I don’t know it might be too early for Oratoria gaiden to catch up with the main story, since the mission is drafted by the guild, we can assume it is from Ouranos and the mission is about the xenos, then a logical guess would be teaming up with Hermes familia, especially Aisha, since she was looking forward to an expedition with Bell as her reward for helping him in book 11, and Hermes was working with Ouranos in the first place anyway, partner with Loki familia is definitely more interesting, but I doubt Loki will let her front line top fighter being away for too long, they have their own fish to fry in Oratoria.

If this mission does involve the Xenos, then Hermes Familia wouldn't be involved, since Hermes made it clear to Ouranos last volume that he wouldn't assist him with anything to do with the Xenos. Loki Familia makes more sense, especially if the new floor the synopsis refers to is on the Deep Floors, which would make it an excellent way for Bell to get stronger after stagnating for a while, especially if Ais is there.
