That was awesome. In particular, I thought the chase scene involving Celty and Kujiragi is very well done in both choreography and music. Too bad Shinra had to something get involved in all this.
Nice to see that Chikage still got it in him to fight. Shizuo's involvement at the end also sets up nicely for the next episode. My slight problem about the episode might be the focus of Varona. She's one of my favorites in this show but the narration dragged. She needs some fresh screen time rather than repeat narrative dialogues. Good to see her again though.

Kasane is really a Villain, causing grief as she is jealous of other "Monsters" having a normal life. We can see the different feelings of Celty when Kasane kissed, slashed and kidnapped Shinra. Celty in full rage mode chases her. Walker and the guild wondering what happened. Shooter in pursuit of his master as well.
On another front Shizuo is looking for Vorona. He meets a bunch of brats picking a fight. Just because you are a kid doesn't mean he won throw you up the sky catching you while wrecking your bike. Vorona meanwhile is on introspection mode. Trying to decide which life she'd like to have. While taking the head and Shinra as she was hired by Kasane she wonders if Celty loves the guy which in turn questions herself if she loves Shizuo. Now that he knows her identity she doesn't think can return to. It seems there is crossroads again as Shooter asks Shizuo for help turning to a bicycle. No doubt going to encounter Celty, Kasane, and Vorona. Shizuo of course blames Izaya thinking he is not only meesing with Meanwhile Izumii is playing Kida making him think he has something to do with Mikado. Chikage rescues him and the gang. Anri finally meets Saki. |

Wait those children who picking a fight with Shizuo, are they also members of Dollars?
They did say they are something generation, but maybe if they are rather affiliated in many different kinds of groups or maybe they are just having fun pretending. Watching the past episodes, like how Toramaru gangs doubted if some children are also Dollars too. Of course no doubt pretty much even ordinary people are part of Dollars because there not much rules of that kind of gang. I thought Dollars is like some kind of community group in the beginning of the series, and now someone like Izumi is also part of the Dollars that was once a leader of Blue Squares. I really agree with Shizuo's angry reaction when people often brings out their knives to fight. It's so unpleasant being in that situation. |

Now that Kanase is done trying out cat ears, she is really shaking things up. Slashed Shinra, kidnapped him, sent Celty into a rage, and even hired Vorona. Bet she didn't count on Shizuo though.
Speaking of Vorona, she is conflicted on which life she wants. She may have valued fighting and originally saw Shizuo as a target, but over time she has grown to like her simple every day life in the city and enjoyed the time she spent with Shizuo.

Exciting episode! Chase scene was awesome; looked the Venom symbiote chasing after Spiderman, if Spiderman was a crazy female shooting out metal "webs" lol.
Good to see Masaomi get out of that jam thanks to Chikage. That Izumi bastard is a nutjob. It's going to take a strong monster to bring that punk down. Love the scenes with Shizuo, especially when he's conversing with Shooter. Hope he's able to save Celty; she needs saving despite all her power. Saki and Anri. Wonder what they're going to talk about? I brought this up before but why go nuts over Shinra? I really don't get the relationship between the two; nothing about it clicks with me. Shinra is just an obsessed weirdo who would put his own happiness before Celty's (i.e. not letting her retrieve her head) if it means he gets to "keep" her. He's similar to Seiji; that jerk is only keeping Mika around as a substitution for Celty's head. If he gets his mitts on it again, he'd abandon her without a second thought. She knows this and still loves the guy. Both parties (Shinra and Seiji) are in "love" with Celty's body parts, not Celty herself. Twisted love, folks, one of the major themes in this series. Why couldn't Celty fall for Shizuo? Join Shizuo's growing harem of girls (Varona, Akane). Those two have way more chemistry and they barely show up on screen together half the time. Oh and Varona, that feeling of love that you couldn't grasp and understand, that loneliness you feel? It's the result of feeling that you "betrayed" Shizuo's trust. She probably already fell for the guy, she just doesn't know it yet.

Especially Shinra's problem is just his possessiveness, which is a relatively minor problem to some other psychos in the show. Hell, even in real life you can see people satisfying in a possessive relationship. |

Can't really call Seiji a jerk when both Mika and him are in a perfectly mutual understanding that it's only her face that he loves, not like he's tricking or lying to her. Also, you can't forget that Mika herself is a very, very creepy and dangerous stalker, way before she became involved in the head business. They absolutely belong with each other.

Well, perhaps Celty likes Shinra because she isn't human herself. She doesn't know that he's disturbed and thinks it's normal. They're worth each other. Quote:

I think I'll stall Ketsu because of this episode.
I don't think I'd be able to watch this idiot called Kasane Kujiragi shatter her own freedom just to teach an unneeded lesson on monsters living free lives.
