I see, thanks.

I will stop watching it then, at least for now. Excited to marathon it once it ends.

Hamon is emulating sunlight so it is useful to defeat vampire and everything related to the mask...That's why it's really effective against Pillar men in Part II

In part III, so far, Dio is the only vampire on the show and he is miles away from Joseph atm...other stand user is just human...err, most of it

It's useless against the priestess because the stand become part of Joseph's body (that generates Hamon in the first place, human torch won't die because of his own fire, right?)
And it's not like Hamon is 100% useless in the show, remember in the early episode Hamon killed parasite that was attached to the Kakyoin's head?

Hamon can be used for walking on water, firing common objects such as hair as projectiles (potentially useful when stands lack range), limited mind control, and healing. Considering some of the gruesome wounds the team incurs in Part 3, I wouldn't be surprised if Joseph patched them up offscreen or something.

Well, embrace the few moments the Ripple does make an appearance in this part, because from part 4 onward it's pretty much gone from the series completely.

Anime production not worked that way.. especially for these jojo adaptation, its very safe to say its separate project by each part that they adapted (the past 26 eps season, and this SC adaptation)

and by newer part adapted, its will count as new project..

Jojo's Bizarre Adventure Part 4 Anime Not Yet Green-Lit and will depend on the fans' support and the decisions of other people involved

source
so it's basically: "they will make it if part III is profitable and people that involved in the project want to spend their time in another 4cours (probably even 5) project

yes, you can attack the stand-user with Hamon powered something...
but not the stand itself, they already established that Stand can only be attacked by another stand
and not sure if Joseph is as good Hamon user as his old self...
considering his age and he didn't have to use it at all after Part II

Well, the official account corrected his tweet...He was a subjective type, after all.

But everything is undecided and at least they are planning to do it. This is hopeful sign.

I want to live optimistic.

Well, this came out of nowhere

Crunchyroll announced on Monday that it will stream the first three episodes of the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders television anime series with an English dub on July 5 until midnight July 6. The same dubbed episodes will also be screened at Anime Expo on July 5.
Cast:
Matthew Mercer: Jotaro Kujo
Joseph Joestar: Richard Epcar
DIO: Patrick Seitz

No word on Phantom Blood & Battle Tendency yet.

I was personally hoping for Crispin Freeman as DIO.

Either him or Liam O'Brien, though I've always liked the idea of Crispin Freeman as Joseph if only because of the Sugita connection .

Still, I can see Seitz doing a decent DIO and Matthew Mercer as well as Richard Epcar will likely do a fine job as Jotaro and Joseph respectively. Kinda weird that they're dubbing Part 3 first, which also reminds me of the manga's treatment in the west, but it's still nice to see Jojo getting dubbed which likely means an eventual release in the west .

As for the recent episode, it was nice to finally see Joseph getting some action for once and actually winning a fight. While it may not be quite on the level of some of the past Stand fights, Joseph outsmarting a villain and making do with what he has to work with always makes for an enjoyable fight. Joseph finally using his catchphrase at the end was the cherry on top .

Poor Polnareff though .

Hanged Man's mom sure is...spry for her age .

I'm going to miss the Ripple/Hamon .

Looking forward to seeing Anna reuniting with team Jojo .

I don't think I've ever watched an ongoing four-cour series, so I'm both happy to hear that Stardust Crusaders is likely to adapt all the material from the manga and that I'll be able to watch Jojo for a few more seasons .

Yeah, if the series wasn't actively pushing the Ripple out the door it probably would stick around for those kinds of reasons. Even if you count out direct combat (which should still be a point since they will have to fight Dio eventually), it does have a ton of uses. That was kind of the positive of the ability since you could do some crazy stuff if you were creative and talented enough. Heck I think Avdol wouldn't have minded Joseph's hair barrier move considering how things turned out for him...

Oh well, RIP Ripple. You were a helpful ability while you lasted.

I'm overjoyed to hear JoJo is getting an English dub, but I'm a little disappointed they appear to be skipping over Phantom Blood and Battle Tendency in the process.

Hopefully they go back and do those as well.~

And unlike Stardust Crusaders, Diamond is Unbreakable is a slice of life show, with Stand. I mean, it's basically Josuke walking around town, getting into adventure, helping out those in need, etc. The major villain of part IV is as unlike any other big bad of any other arc.

Actually wouldn't Persona 4 be like Jojo since it's older?

Now I magine the Persona 4 cast drawn in Jojos style.

I've always thought Seitz would make a good Young Joseph. Personally I would like to see him be the English voice of Gintoki if Gintama ever gets a proper localization. For some reason I really hope Tony Oliver is cast Polnareff.

I can kinda see why they would do Part 3 first. It's the most well-known part in the west. 9 times out of 10 when you think of JoJo you think of Jotaro and Stardust Crusaders.

It's probably dependent on the success of Stardust Crusaders.

Episode 12 was absolutely hilarious, that little shit stuck on Joseph's arm turned out to be Hokuto no Ken.

It's kind of hilarious just how the "part 3 is over!" quote is made right on the final episode of the first cour.
