The ones to watch out for should be GochiUsa, Kin-iro Mosaic, Non Non Biyori and Nisekoi, also Kaori (Isshukan Friends) for one-man team.

All from the series I couldn't watch in the last one year and still too busy to do so. Guess I'll pass this year :P

Well, it looks like people were right about the newcomers. The strongest newcomers, at a faction level, seem to be Kin-iro Mosaic, Gochuumon wa Usagi Desu ka?, and Non Non Biyori.

I've watched a little bit of all three shows, but I never maintained interest in either of them, so I don't have a strong preference between the three. However, all three shows were thoroughly inoffensive to me, so there's no character that I actively dislike, so I probably don't have to worry much about a hated/disliked character winning it all this year.

Damn! I missed Kaori so I didn't vote for her but am so glad she took top spot now that I know she was in the group.

Interesting. 36 out of 48 characters I know or series I watched and all decent characters. And there are quite a few more I'm familiar with just outside advancing, but still able to try again.

Among those who advanced so far, my higher preferences go to
Rize (Usagi) / Kobeni (Mikakunin) <Unidentified>
Onodera (Nisekoi) / Roka (D-Frag) / Enju (Black Bullet)

Well, a 7-1-2 round (Total 29-9-2) to end the first half of newcomer prelim. Random votes to make it 10 girls means I put down girls that are way out of contention for the first time.

Kaori did good, Shinobu is about where I expect. Rettosei is doomed to 2nd tier status, and that is not good once the veterens start to be around also. Mokocchi did decent, about where I expect her to be.

A one day break before the madness begin. Veteran groups should be a little bit more interesting.

I've only really been following the Saimoe thread on this site so so far it doesn't seem like very much translation work has been done. No translation for full groups and only the top characters for results.

The 'usual sites' don't seem to be covering the 'tourney' this year. I suppose the last two years had 'something' to do with it, but it is still weird in any case.

I guess the last 2 years really crossed the line for many Saimoe followers, and also the low vote total this year just doesn't help either. Also I don't really see any new series in the last one year nearly as strong as the likes of Madoka and Saki in 2011, 2012 & 2013. We'll see tomorrow if Saki and Madoka are still strong like before, or they will diminish along with this tournament.

I did translate the 1-1 & 1-2 prelim results, but only for the qualified girls main round. Maybe I'll do the rest for the girls advanced to 2nd prelim, but only when I have some free time, and tbh my interest kinda wanes this year, so I can't promise anything.

I see something like that in my tracker too. Umi is in the lead, followed by Mokkan and Nico, then at some distance Madoka and then the others. The vote totals are a bit higher than on previous days too.

If this is confirmed tomorrow, this could be the year of Love Live!
