The light novel, Hyakuren no Haou to Seiyaku no Valkyria (The Master of Ragnarok & Blesser of Einherjar) is getting a TV anime adaptation.

Plot Summary:

Some urban legends are best left untested! Yuuto Suou gets more than he bargained for when he joins his childhood friend Mitsuki Shimoya in testing out an urban legend. When he uses his phone to take a picture of himself with the local shrine's divine mirror, he is whisked off into another world—one heavily steeped in the lore of the old Norse myths.

Using his knowledge gained from school and from his solar-powered smartphone, he has the chance to bring the Wolf Clan, the same people who cared for him, to prominence, all while earning the adoration of a group of magic-wielding warrior maidens known as the Einherjar.

Finally watched my most anticipated show of the season, but yea, I feel like they should have altered the events a bit, like include volume 3 flashbacks first to show HOW he became leader.

A solar-powered smart phone...last time, it was the big G himself giving it unlimited charge. This makes me appreciate the fact that in Oda Nobuna: Saru's smart phone is out of charge when he got isekai'd.

^To be fair, Nobuna aside (Saru is only knowledgeable on the Sengoku period), I would rather have a MC with a solar powered phone, than some "average high school boy with freaking abnormal advanced knowledge on ALL FIELDS who bring revolution to isekai". I mean, in almost all isekai/reincarnation stories, MCs have WAY TOO MUCH knowledge.

I'd say it's OK. I mean, they skipped over the part that shows HOW he was summoned as well. First episode's first job is to catch the viewer's attention; fleshing things out can be left for after. I'd bet we'll get the information in question after a few more episodes.

Anime do not get more pandering than this one. Wow, when I say that I struggled to even finish the first episode, it is a understatement. Definitely not sticking around for more.

Really makes me miss that show in a way. I did like how the phone having a battery actually mattered as a plot point. It wasn't a crutch he could use the whole time. Might be refreshing if once in a while a phone just broke. These characters are getting into fights with supernatural abilities entering the picture.

Okay ... this is a bit shocking, the first episode is ~70% of vol. 1, they skipped scenes and alter some, overall it was not that bad, but in this way they can animate 3 vol's in 3 episodes, their goal is probably to animate 10 vol's ... I hope they won't ruin this ...

Simple plot requires good art to back it up, and so far this show delivers. This is the kind of anime that one should just turn off the brain and watch.

Wolf Clan, Horn Clan, and yet they're not beast girls. I feel cheated. (I'm not particularly into animal ears, but I feel if they're going to promise, they should deliver.)

Re: the smartphone. It's not like solar powered smartphone don't exist. Though performance would be a problem, I guess. The magical thing is that it connects. NGNL had solar chargers, but they'd downloaded all the info they wanted beforehand.

It's nice to king the king of another world where you have all the power and all the girls like you.

I guess we will see in the upcoming episodes how he actually got there in the first place.

Having knowledge of the past will help him conquer a lot more clans, he showed it in this battle.

Having a solar powered smartphone that works properly and can actually make calls to the other world is incredible.

I don't like those uncles, they are out to get them, that was fantastic when he got mad and told them all shut up.

Decent start to this anime, I am looking forward to watching more.

Why are there two isekai harem anime in one season. Is there such an endless supply of them now?
I would have preferred to start with how he came to this position in the first place, but then there would not be a first episode with girls repeatedly trying to seduce him, I guess. Kind of sad that this takes priority, it does not bode too well for the show. (Evidently the novels were the same thing? I did not read this series, and was not motivated by the first episode to start now either.) It has potential for great plot, what with the military campaigns and the intrigues of the older generation. Not so optimistic about the depth of the characters, but I'm willing to watch more for now. Since I subscribe to Crunchyroll already.
