The following banners were disqualified because of edge problems. I aplogize for not having caught these errors until now. I have added a bit of gradient to the right and left of each banner so that you can easily see the errors. Please fix these so that I can include them in our contest!!

Didn't think I would enter this contest but I said "what the heck? Why not?" So I made one up just now. Nothing fancy but I think it looks okay.

Unfortunately bad news for you Kairin fans, she won't be in this year's winter contest. I tried to throw together a quick banner but it wasn't working out with the pictures I had on hand and I didn't have time to do a new drawing. So anyways, here are my 2 entries.

For most, some creative work in using this, http://forums.animesuki.com/showthread.php?p=732703, should be able to help resolve some of the edge issues.

Those white lines appear to be caused by some junk before flattening. Background layer is probably ok, but it's probably just something in one or more of the upper layers. Easiest to check by disabling any layer boundary border from the Viewing preferences if it's obscuring, and then Eye each layer till the white line disappears.

A lot of that edge banding is due to the limitations of the amount in colors of the GIF format. I recommend to switch to a JPG format, using the last working point of before any GIF conversions.
