Did he have tears in his eyes when he first appeared on the roof? Pretty sure he did in the manga.

I have to check again later, but I'm pretty sure he did...just a few drops in his eye though, not the usual full blown waterworks, so maybe that's why it less clear than usual.

No tears, dammit! Pissaro was crying when he was falling, but not Brave Lag...

Oh, I guess I was confusing the two then...I skipped some episodes in season 1, is this the first time he spent an episode without crying? (poor boy, him crying is practically a once per episode thing now)

Episode 2 was nice. Every time Niche licks Lag, i can imagine the number of adult doujins that involve Niche "healing" Lag

I was hoping that Lag'd give Niche a hug or something, but he moreso treated her....like a pet? Maybe a little sister? It would have been nice of him to show some stronger emotion toward her rather than having that calm appearance and attitude, something like what he did with Gauche.

The moment of this episode for me was def Steak's slow ascension into the fire, that was hilarious !

That may be the first time I've ever seen anyone ask for stronger emotion from Lag.

I was fine with his reaction. I think "little sister" comes much closer to capturing it than "pet".

And I noticed something rather nice in episode one, the potpourri lady from the first season (who isn't a manga character) was in the background of Loyd's office when Lag was giving his report, nice little bit of continuity there.

Yeah that was a really nice touch. It's great when good quality anime original material like that isn't forgotten.

It's funny how they remembered that and not the fact that lag had already met the Sinners couple in season 1.

I don't see it in the scans, and Viz haven't released upto that far yet.

The page was probably added in the tankobon, and the scans must be from the Jump Square serialization then.

It's page 54 in volume 6 (an almost entirely black page except for a circle with the scene.)

Ah yeah would make sense. Going by Viz's slow release, i should see it by the end of next year.

Episode 3 was pretty cool. Though it was pretty obvious who did pictures, even before she asked Lag for help.

Another sweetly sentimental episode of Letter Bee. I loved Niche's "On account of I am a dingo!" and Lag's surprised "On account??" I also loved the Scooby Doo ending. And finally, we're gettin' Jiggy in the next episode. But Lag's art skills - Oy. I think they drew inspiration from the entries in the "Nomo Drawing Contest" from Cross Game...

Great episode as usual, sure the sender of the letter is predictable but seeing Lag and Niche (and Steak) going around town investigating is really cute. Seeing the memory behind the letter is very touching as well, but there's enough humor thrown is as well, like the picture Lag drew of Gauche. Great Postman you may be, Lag, but an artist you surely are not...Niche is really cute this episode somehow, if those trio (Niche, Lag, and Sylvette) is given just 5 years to grow, I'm sure they'll grow up to be real knockouts. Next episode, Jiggy Peppers.
