MSN is locking out older clients and many third-party clients, because their network is "Mine Mine Mine" and they won't let other people use it. They started this a few weeks ago.

Try upgrading to a newer client. Also, you ought to use the Jabber network which will never lock you out.

Dito, I haven't heard anything about that either. However, I couldn't log into my MSN earlier, but now it works. It seemed like the MSN server was down or something because my buddies PM asking if I couldn't get on earlier.

I have this every once in a while too (once every two months or so), fortunatly, I still have a backup account (which seems to be on a different server). But most of the time, my main account works after waitning for an hour or so, guess it's just a server problem.

Send a message via AIM to RavenChild Send a message via MSN to RavenChild
i wasn't able to log in last night but that was because of some service that they were doing to their systems. i think it is back up by now. in my opinion, even when msn messenger does not work, it's still better than AIM.

EDIT: Spelling

Same happened to me yesterday night, couldn't log in. I checked the MSN status page but it reported that all systems were stable and working.
