OTOH I don't know how the mother, Carla, will react in the afterlife if she sees her two daughters she paid the ultimate price to rescue becoming maids/servants of a human knight who helped her after she said to them to live strongly and wisely before dying . Isn't that kinda insulting? Weren't the daughters of a Werewolf Queen still count as royal family members aka. princesses?

Also, there are surprisingly many castles out there that can change hands that easily. This is like what, 3rd-4th castle they've owned in 5 episodes?

But the livestream in Sep mentioned v9 being some sort of climax Quote:
A lot. The relationship between Theo/Siluca and the Werewolf clan being one of them. They removed quite a number of actors (named characters taking part in the action) in the story (which might be understandable due to budget issues - more voice actors needed), the most important one being an entity in the basement level of Dimitri's castle. They might bring the entity in later or they might change the story altogether. They also made many changes to how things develop. There are also some insights to Vilar (which will be expanded in v3), and also relationships between other people such as Siluca and the girls, Milzar and Theo/Siluca, etc. etc. To get an idea of what might have been condensed, I'll list the title and chapter titles of the 2 volumes to compare with the episode titles. I will do a comparison post later because even though I tried writing a condensed overview, it became a large wall of text that I can't hope to finish in one sitting But what's for sure is that we will be starting volume 3 next episode onward based on the title of episode 6, and also v2 ended with Theo taking residence in Dimitri's castle, so I'm quite sure they are done with v2 other than the entity I mentioned. |

As mentioned, let me try to summarize as succinctly as possible the comparisons. I don't want to talk too much about the 'entity' mentioned above as they might bring it in later. One can ask in novel thread for more detailed spoilers if I can find the time to answer them.
Since it's a comparison thread, I can spoiler it here, but leaving out things which I think might be revealed later. So it will focus more on changes and the kind of character development in the volume. It's still a long wall of text since episode 5 adapted the entire volume Spoilers Spoiler for summarized yet relatively long wall of text comparisons with volume 2 Sorry; dynamic content not loaded. my problem is not "oh they skipped that or that" but look things are moving soo fast, look a new character appeared, look he disappeared, look something happened, look bu already passed, look a battle... already started and ended, look i'ts like watching a battle betweem 2 speedster, i could be good with "not being faithfull with the source but the "obvious rush" and almost "0" character development for any character make hard stick with the serie, characters are being added and forget at speed of light and even already existing characters are getting barely any real development because things are moving so insane fast, it's the famous "if you blink" you lost".

I'm a newbie, and I think the story execution of this anime is beyond bad and rushed since the 2nd episode. The potential is obviously there but the anime botched it. Reading the posted spoilers in this thread after watching the episodes actually makes me appreciate the source novel even more than the anime adaptation I'm currently watching.

While still quite rushed, I actually enjoyed the recent episode for most part. I think a lot of it might have had do with change of direction in story. I'm surprised that Theo and the other took over the Vampire King's castle too. Now everyone is basically doing the equivalent level grinding in a RPG.

Wow,
Episode 6's dancing. That was actually quite a spectacle. The music, body movements, facial expressions, and overall chereography almost looked like a work of art. I didn't think Theo would also take the stage since he doesn't look like the dancer type. Interesting to learn more about Villar this episode and how feels about his family.

At least for this episode, they didn't cut out Villar's backstory and the emotions between him and Margaret were there. Yes, Villar's story is interesting. We also get to learn why he's in the opposite faction of the Kreische family, thanks to his father's betrayal. Villar sought to live a graceful kind of life that's beautiful in form. His reputation as the lustful lord was really a false rumor. He really wanted Margaret to continue serving him, but by making an exception, it breaks his way of life. The translator also didn't knew the context as it wasn't clear, but Margaret's birthday had already passed by a few months (or a month?) and Villar pretended to forget so that he could rely on her a bit longer (in case someone finds it contradictory when he said no one knew better than him about how to treasure a woman even though he seemed not to know Margaret's birthday when he asked her). |
