Beware the cute ones. Come on now that is like a fundamental law. Narita gave us the cold-blooded cute kid from Baccano so anything is possible.
Also that image of Mikoto and Gunha is pretty cute. She looks downright playful (Railgun's idea of playing involves stuff blowing up, surprise). It'd nice to see her interacting with a male who isn't Touma or a psychopathic murderer. |

Oddly Mikoto's attitude now is similar to that when she first met Touma. Nobody would go out of their way to help her. Mikoto even considers the possibility Kuroko will have to fight her eventually. Thing is Touma won't hesitate to save a girl in distress. (For that matter thugs from Mikoto.) Nobody would save her there is no such thing as a hero. Yeah well there is Touma during the graviton bombing but he doesn't remember that or all those times Mikoto chased him. But in Mikoto's eyes Touma hasn't changed one bit. |

Well their isn't many to change from Touma. From the Mikoto's perspective his just some other guy that helps her and annoys her and just to play with (playing with lightning bolts). From Railgun manga we didn't see much of interaction between those two or they knew each other much. So theirs no reason for Mikoto asking help from Touma because they aren't that close plus she wouldn't involve a level 0 on her problems against the city itself.

One of the themes of the Sisters arc is that Mikoto (incorrectly) assumes that she has to do everything herself. She can't ask anyone for help because she still has some degree of pride left (although that gets smashed pretty dang hard), and because quite frankly if she, one of the strongest Level 5's, is in horribly over her head then her friends could very easily be killed.
Mikoto has no reason to suspect that Touma has changed, yeah. He may not realize it because he lost his memories, but he is very much the same person. It's also funny that Touma ends up pointing out to Mikoto that she should ask others for help, since he himself tends to have the exact same flaw. |

Otherwise he doesn't want to advertise he has effectively a sort of retrograde amnesia. Hence his acting and hammishness when it comes to these situations. |

Since Mikoto isn't close to Touma never was a way to make any suspects.
Quote:
Because Touma is involved to the core with the magic side he relies on allies who are related to the magic side, remember? Stiyl, Tsuchimikado, Kanzaki and the Amakusas, usually they are his allies on many battles. Touma even got the help of the not-so-useless-Anti-Skills. If you want to know if Touma has asked for Mikoto's help, yes, he did but only as informant(about AIM, the situation on A.C. when he is on trip or hacking security siystems) but never as a battle suport cause he considers her a burden and don't want to see her hurt(think of Etzali getting angry while crying blood tears ). |

even in the occasion when touma and mikoto helped each other to help kuroko. Touma didn't ask help from Mikoto. But the problem their is Kuroko is a friend of Mikoto. So it can't be helped that they helped each other on that fight.
But aside from that. Touma didn't even once ask helped from the Science side and even the science side rarely ask helped from him. |

Touma may like to work on his own, but he doesn't refuse help from others like Mikoto does. He's worked with Stiyl and Motoharu, and he's called Komoe, Index, and even Mikoto for information.
Before Touma's fight with Accelerator, Mikoto outright refuses to tell anyone anything. It's not just that people won't help someone in need; it's that no one knows anyone in need of help. Not very many people would go out of their way like Touma did to personally dig up some information. In fact, Touma could be considered a stalker for looking up where she lived and what she was up to like that, even if he had very good intentions. |

Calling him a stalker isn't very fair. Although it is a bit of a role reversal from when she was stalking him for a good fight.
Touma doesn't ask for help unless they outright offer it. Remember when he went off to basically suicide against the 200 battle nuns or whatever? He expressly lied about where he was going to his allies who could have helped him (they read through him anyway and did so anyway). This isn't really unusual behavior for Touma. He tries to be the hero way too much. Mikoto is too proud to ask for help, but she is generally less stupid (again with that INT score). Her suicidal plan against Accelerator was defeatist but definitely had an achievable goal. Mikoto tapped Uiharu for a little bit of extra data when first looking up the Sisters project. And Mikoto has already been called out on trying to go it alone. During the last part of the Railgun anime she tried to take on Testelina and was beaten. She acknowledged right then and there that she was wrong and that they should all pursue Ms. Kihara together. The real difference for the Sisters arc is that it is so very, very deeply personal to Misaka. It's hard to draw a parallel with Touma... maybe the Angel Fall arc with his dad? Even then I'm not sure. |

I got to agree that this arc is too much personal for Misaka. Because the victims are her clone plus she's blaming herself for the death of all of them. SHE'S BLAMING HERSELF FOR GIVING HER DNA MAP!!!! that's the biggest problem here. And due to that. She couldn't ask help from the others. Because it's her own fault and problem. But that's only what she thinks.

No one said Mikoto's conclusions were reasonable. But after 9982 was so brutally killed in front of her, she kind of lost a clear head about the whole affair. She feels 'guilty' that she couldn't save her sister and horrified at the whole project. So she comes up with a lame excuse for why she is feeling guilty, because she doesn't actually understand the source (that being that she is too weak to save her sisters)

Despite believing that she's too weak to save her Sisters, she still refuses to ask for help because she thinks this is a personal problem.
I suppose that's reasonable since the experiment only involves Mikoto and her DNA, but at the same time, believing that the experiment is only her problem also indirectly acknowledges that Mikoto isn't trying to stop the experiment for her Sisters' well-being and happiness, but for her vengence on the people who tricked Mikoto into taking part in this as a child. It's not until Touma comes in to help that Mikoto learns to ask help for the sake of helping others. When you think about it, Mikoto asked 10032's help "to protect HIS dream," not to end the experiment, or to help her succeed in her own mission. All this time, Mikoto wanted to stop the experiment for herself, but she ended up doing it to help Touma. In a way, Touma helping Mikoto not only helped her learn how to work with others and ask for help, but she also views Touma in a new light. Before, she honestly thought Touma was an egotistical jerk who got a kick out of pissing her off. Now, she realizes that he really does everything for the sake of others. |

Not really at their first encounter Touma thinking she is a girl in distress tried to protect her by some lame excuse to the thugs then insulting her childlish appearance so the thugs would leave her alone. She went thunderbolt Touma was still standing and looked so cool.
Mikoto always wanted to test her abilities with somebody stronger and she sees Touma as stronger than her. Just that he is very very modest in her eyes. Heck he didn't take credit for saving her, Uiharu and that little girl. Not that these are bad qualities the real reason she was chasing him all the time was that she was developing a crush on him. Only she is a Tsundere for him. Only in the current scenario Touma is in the process of piecing who he was. Enter Mikoto who up to a couple of days ago was chasing him without any idea he lost his memory. |
