Fanmade. Those animatic bits are a bit out of place for a professional trailer -_- Not to mention I'm almost 100% sure that bit with the naked chick floating away from camera was traced from the intro to macross frontier.
Also, animation style/quality keeps changing, there's motion wobble on bits and extremely cheap animation on others, and a single, glaringly out-of-place CG bit randomly thrown in there.

I believe the groaning is due in part to the fact that Unicorn was first introduced in an animated fashion via a Japanese fan creating a "fake" op/trailer. Of course if they do make a decision to animate Hathaway's Flash, then I guess whatever fan op comes out of Japan will be made into an OVA haha.

Yeah but this video was originally made last year. It's old. I doubt that they would know that far ahead of time.

Its not old, this one came out earlier this month. While there was a version of it last year, the guy making this has been slowly converting the B&W "storyboard" sketches to actual animation...

Its still not complete, but its nice to see the excellent progress with it. Better than all the other fanmade OPs (for Unicorn, Crossbone, Seven Steel, etc), thats for sure.

I've been looking at these videos every once in a while, it's nice to see the progress. At first I assumed this was the PV (which did get completed) because of the lack of sketch scene. Eventually I convinced myself that this was the fanOP and they just made progress on it.
