It's a pretty clean looking piece so far I do all my work in openCanvas too... maybe you would like to have a drawing session together sometime?
Anyway, I'll give a quick C&C... Mainly the parts which are blackened from many strokes seem to be your proble areas (face and legs) I can easily let you say it's style cause thats what it usually is hahaha... but the thighs are usually thicker than the lower leg area.... just cause... thats human anatomy... but look at Mega man, ahahaha yeah. So if thats your style never mind that. But the head looks crooked in proportion to her face. I would say raising her cheek a bit would help that out... And one more thing... the direction that she is holding the broom makes it seem like the broom is going in another direction... I dunno XD Well good luck! It looks great! I really like the broom end... straw-y stuffs is kewlies |

Ok, I'm gonna do a little explanation on legs, to see if this helps anyone. I have great respect for you skill and everything, so I feel kinda disrespectful, but it's helping me as much as anyone else :
there just seems to be a little bulge (suggesting a knee) down near where her shin would be. Just raise those up. The proportion is about right, but maybe the legs are a little thin. I believe the knee just about evenly divides the leg into equal lengths, with the thigh being thicker (of course) and then tapering down just before the knee to get a little thinner. The leg then gets wider and thicker (but not so much as the thigh, of course) as the knee flows into the calf muscle, and then gets narrow again going down to the ankle. In summary, I believe the main problem here is that you try to go out with the knees, instead of in, like an hour glass, kind of. I'm sure you knew this, but maybe can't get it to look right? I don't know, just think about what exactly is going on when you draw it. This helped me as well, so I don't care if it helped anyone else Your upper body is amazing though, and I envy your head and facial expressions. |
