They still haven't announced any villains yet and I'm surprised they didn't show Bahumaut with the other summons. Maybe they wanted to stick to the elemental summons

Because Firionel and Butz sound weird (at least to me)? I know that they stuck with the name Terra ever since Ted Woosley back at Nintendo (decades ago) decided that 'Tina' was too ordinary/bland of a name for the main character to have.

IIRC It'll be in arcade first during the first year and then they'll port it to the PS4 the year after its arcade release.

That glowing pebble made me chuckle. Ramza's Squire moveset is so lame

Nice dashes, but charged pebble toss(!) vs all kinds of magic is hilarious to think about. His magic seems pretty slow, considering his lack of sustained fire. Physical HP attacks telegraphed as expected, but I'll wait till we get a combat video before judging how hard it's going to be to connect those.

I seriously thought we're getting a materia system when I saw the title, but instead we get a character that's actually named Materia and Spiritus. I prefer the old Chaos and Cosmos but w/e

I actually root for Chaos, he's got a much better design compared to DD012 and Cosmos' talk feels very forced...and her looks were more pristine in the previous installments. We're getting a playable ACE, that's amazing! I can't wait to have the full cast revealed.

Also, I wish they put Seymour rather than Jecht this. Jecht wasn't evil but just as an asshole to his son when he was just a kid.

Yeah, but Jecht is a monk and he kicks all kinds of ass. Seymour would just be Kuja #2.

The reason why staffs chose Jecht is because he's the closest antagonist, as Final Aeon, to Tidus and Yuna.
Staffs once think about Seymour but they quickly dismiss the idea because Seymour relationship to Tidus and Yuna is weak due to his obsession to became new Sin, while Jecht not only have notable relationship with Tidus and Yuna but also he is the latest Sin core itself.

In terms of gameplay, Seymour will only be Emperor Mk. II with his EX form might transform him into Kuja Mk. II. Jecht as Monk class character is more favorable as it allow him to have more distinct gameplay, that in Dissidia shown as the only character with manual control for Brave Attack.
