Glad that we finally find out the true purpose behind Enjin. Have to admit i was a little shocked that he's related to Akina and Hime's backstory, though i found myself liking it a lot. I'm pretty sure it'll become the main plot for the series, which i am glad about.

How the seating arrangement was explained made me smile quite a bit, i mean i had a feeling it was for personal purposes, and that it was linked to something that happened in the past. It's a nice part of their story.

Also, being a huge Seki Tomokazu fan --- this episode was so much fun to watch.

Some thoughts for ep 4

So LKK suggested I take a look at this series, and I finally did (despite the pile of homework sitting in front of me *hides the books under a bunch of more papers* ).

I saw up to subbed ep 3. So far, it seems episodic but I can see there's a bigger plot just under the surface. I feel sorry for the dog Silver. Poor thing...Hime should have taught him that jealousy is not the way to go.

Saw Deathkillz's screencaps for ep 4. I have to agree: that nun is wicked awesome! Double katana...WHOO!

Dang, I'd love Katoha's ability of conjuring anything up with my words: "Car"...no, make it "Porsche convertible"... (I wonder if I say "Homework done!", will it work? XD )

Well, I skimmed through five volumes of the manga, and I'm glad that the nun, Yae appears quite a number of times. Thank freaking god!

I'm definitely looking forward to that, but with the anime only lasting for 13 episodes I wonder how much will be cut out.

Ah DKZ always has the eye squarely where mine own fall...Yes we need more Nun action so very very much...I dont even have any idea what her name is or what relation she has to the story, but damn is she an attention stealer...

I read that as saying Ao knows but Akina wants to be sure that Ao doesn't say anything about it to Hime either. Of course, it's possible the sub is wrong. I wouldn't know.

My instincts say that line (アオにも黙っててくれ) was translated wrongly by [Chihiro], though the only thing I could point offhand to to say why would be because nothing in there seems to say 'convey this message (i.e. "Don't tell Hime") to Ao'. I would have interpreted it as roughly "Say nothing about this to Ao".
Looking into things a bit more, though, ALC seems to support my interpretation.

As for the subject of the Ao-Gin relationship, that's actually explained in chapter 2 of the manga, which the preview suggests is what they're converting for ep 5. Not sure if the anime will cover it too (considering how loosely they've handled the material so far), but I think they kinda have to...?

Gin is indeed her elder brother.

Oh, and going by the reaction of chapter/ep 1's shooter, Ao's supposed to have cat ears. An unimportant point, but it's interesting how few people perceive them that way...

Ao centric episode. I lol'd when Kyousuke lose consciousness after getting two kiddy vampires bit him. Shouldn't it be considered as a honor to be bitten by two cute ones

Anyways, Nun-vs-Enjin was a cocktease. Need more action.

Ao learns that reading peoples heart freely is a bad thing (even when playing cards). she then tries to make up for her mistake and finds the reason behind the kids promise with her dad. That was kind of strange, imo, when the kid finally did 15 dribble w/o the ball falling his parents appeared. I thought it was seriously impossible, what are the chances

thus, Hime and her gang is now the new getbacker of this season

after that, Enjin shows himself infront of Ao. What will the litle sister say..? darn episode picked a bad situation to end.

An average episode for this average anime, imo.

The only interesting part in this entire episode was where the two little vampire girls were biting on Kyo's wrist and sucking his blood. I laughed hard when I saw that scene. The two little monsters were even commenting the taste of his blood as Kyo fell unconscious due to blood loss. Poor guys was like a lollipop to those two.

They might want to have a talk with those two about doing that kind of stuff though . Think just casually drinking people's blood so they fall unconscious could get them into some trouble. Still for that scene was kind of funny.

Honestly I though the parents showing up was a trick or trap. It seemed completely impossible that right after the kid juggled the ball the right number of times they popped up. Talk about the crazy coincidences.

Too bad the fight with Nun vs Enjin was really short. Would have been fun to watch that fully. Still the end was big with Ao running into Enjin. Guess Akina keeping things quiet isn't going to last long.

Was funny with Akina popping up between Ao's legs to initiate the conversation. Well after she finished kicking his ass .

Ep 5.

An exploration of Ao's pysche in guise of a cutesy filler. Actually I like these slice of life filler episodes. It's nice to see the Youkai Life Center organization do things other than fight the bad guys day in, day out. (Besides its was really amusing to see the little vampire kids having their mid-morning snack on Kyousuke. ) I think if Akina had his choice, it's assignments like this one that he would have the Center do all the time.

The conversation in the playground between Ao and Akina was nicely done. But I wish the anime had spent a few seconds to complete the scene as it was done in the manga.

After the scene ends in the anime, there are one or two more panels in the manga version. Akina sits there, remembering a conversation he had with Gin where Gin asks Akina to look after his little sister. Akina wonders if he's properly fulfilling his promise to Gin in watching over her.

When Ao saw Enjin at the end of the episode, I think he was too far away for her to see the subtle physical differences between Enjin and Gin. She's going to be really hurt when she realizes her brother isn't really her brother.

Does anyone else wonder why Ao doesn't seem to attend school? Hime, Kotoha, and Touka do. They're a year older than Ao. Rin does. She's the same age as Ao. But there hasn't been any sign that says Ao does. She appears to work full time in the Center. Why doesn't she go to school during the day? Of have I missed something?

Was the sub translation correct in the scene between Enjin and Yae (the nun)? Did he address her as "kami-sama" at the end of their discussion? (@ approx 11.52)

But Enjin is using Gin's body so technically he is still her brother.

And as for the "kami-sama" part, I don't think that is the name of the nun but rather a response from Enjin to her when she mentioned about the gods. Something like "I can handle the full wrath of the gods" with the nun's power being representative of "god's" power because of her faith.

In other words, Yae is a deity as well.

I've never thought of Yae as being a real nun to be honest. I assumed she was cosplaying.

So Yae...mmm not the greatest name but I'll go with it. If only they hadn't sold the rematch fight short gah...I sooo wanted to see more of went down there and instead we get more about some little brat noone cares about with magically appearing/disappearing parents...Bah I say bah...

Ep 5 was pretty good. Ao is moe, and Hime is funny when the kids tease her.
